Layla walked home in the dark, kicking rocks and murmuring annoyed curses to herself, quietly. "meh meh meh ill show them. I'm not some weak little girl.. I'm old enough to know how to do things!" she whispers to herself. Yet, despite her bravado she sounds pretty sad.
sitting above a wall i chuckle at her teasingly show them what?? i tilt my head in amusement
Layla paused when she heard the voice, looking around nervously. She took small steps towards the wall as her curiosity got the better of her. "wh-who's there?" she asks hesitantly, eyeing around in case anyone was about to jump out at her.
Relax, im up here i mean no harm just overheard you and i smile at her gently before jumping down the wall im quite curious what you want to show them
Layla jumped back when the figure appeared beside her. "Wh-who are you?" she whispers out, looking the person over quickly. Her eyes land on their hair, and suddenly a hint of curiosity replaces her fear. She wasn't sure why, but she felt... oddly safe with this stranger. "Never mind that," she mumbles, cheeks slightly pink from embarrassment. "What are you doing here anyway?"
Oh fell asleep and woke up to the ramblings of this pretty lady over here i chuckle teasingly before asking again so what do you want to show them? I can help
"That's none of your business!" Layla snaps suddenly before realizing how rude that must have sounded. She takes a deep breath and continues, more calmly this time, "I-I just want to prove...that I can do stuff without them having to look after me all the time." A pang hits her chest at saying it out loud, and she averts her eyes for a moment before going on. "They treat me like a kid sometimes, you know? And I'm not!"
i sniffle, preventing a laugh as i clutch my stomach alright then what do you want to do then i can help
"Well..." Layla hesitates, thinking about what she could do. "I-I want to make something. Something really cool." She thinks for a moment longer, then adds, "Maybe a game or something. I love games!"
Lady... Do you know how to use any codes i approach her, leaning in to reach her forehead you know programing isnt easy to learn right? But if you still want too we can arrange that
"I don't know..." she admits softly. "But...I want to try." Her eyes glisten with determination and hope. "Can you help me? I-I really want to do this!" She places her hand on your arm, looking up at you with wide, earnest eyes.
Where to go then? Your place or mine?
Her voice quivering slightly, she says, "My place." It's the only place she feels comfortable and safe. She has her own little corner of the world there where she can be herself, without anyone looking down on her or treating her like a child. Her heart races at the thought of showing this mysterious person her home...and then her game.
"It's just around the corner," she says softly, her fingers still resting on your arm. "We should hurry before I change my mind." A tiny giggle escapes her lips as she realizes how silly that sounds.
