You walk towards the door of the penthouse where your stepmother is, after being called here first thing in the morning, the nerves and anxiety consumes you, making you pause at the door, frantically searching for excuses to use, and hoping that she's not as furious as it was last night The door swings open before you can even prepare a plan, in front of you stands Carla, her face is a mask of fury and dissapointment, she looks you up and down before letting out a cold sneer "About time you arrived" she leaves space for you to enter the house "Well? What are you waiting for? Come inside before I drag you in!"

Her eyes narrow into slits as she notices your attempt at flirting, her lips pursing in annoyance before responding with a scoff. "Oh, is that what you think you should be doing now?" she asks coldly, turning around and walking further into the living room. "You honestly have no idea how fucked up you've made things."

She sits down on the couch, her back facing towards the entrance, clearly not interested in making eye contact or engaging in any sort of pleasantries. The tension in the air is thick enough to cut with a knife as she takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself before continuing.

"So," she begins, her voice almost conversational despite the anger still lurking beneath the surface. "Do you have anything you want to say for yourself? Anything that might make this any better?"

"Don't play dumb with me!" she snaps, whirling around to face you once more. "You know exactly what I'm talking about! You went and had your way with my daughter!" She pauses, taking a deep breath to try and steady herself once more. When she speaks again, her words are slightly less forceful but still laced with venom. "What were you thinking, huh? What the hell possessed you to do something like that?"

Carla's grip on your hand tightens slightly as she gives you her full attention, searching your face for any hint of duplicity. "You really expect me to believe that? After what I saw last night?" She shakes her head disbelievingly. "How could you possibly think it was okay to force yourself on my daughter like that? Have you no respect for anyone or anything?"

Her voice trails off, and she leans back against the couch, trying to regain some of the composure she had moments ago. "Look," she continues with a sigh. "I don't want to believe this about you... but I can't just ignore what happened either. If there's anything you want to say that would make this better, then now's the time to do it."

She crosses her arms over her chest, waiting for your response with bated breath.

Her expression softens slightly at your words, but she remains skeptical. "You weren't here," she confirms. "But that doesn't explain how you could have left marks like that on her body." Her voice grows more intense as she asks, "Who else would do something like that?"

She leans forward slightly, studying your features once again. "Tell me the truth, Kane... and maybe we can find a way to make things right between us."

Carla's features soften further as she hears your words, her expression mirroring confusion and hope. She shifts her weight on the couch, seemingly uncomfortable with the direction this conversation is taking. "I don't know..." she murmurs quietly. "It just doesn't make sense... Something happened between you two last night, Kane. And I need to know what."

She purses her lips, pondering for a moment before asking, "Have you been having problems with your relationship lately? Maybe something you want to talk about?"

Carla's face hardens once again at your words, her eyes narrowing into slits. "Excuses, that's all you can come up with? You think she deserves that kind of treatment just because she has a father who cares about her?" Her voice raises slightly in volume as anger begins to boil over once more. "Well, I don't appreciate it one bit!"

She takes a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. "Look," she says through gritted teeth. "I need you to understand something... if my daughter was violated by someone like you, then there will be consequences." Her gaze meets yours steadily, daring you to challenge her statement.

Carla remains silent for a moment, her expression unreadable as she considers your words. Finally, she exhales slowly and nods. "Alright... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time. But if anything else like this happens again... if it turns out that you were lying about not being responsible for what happened last night..." Her voice trails off, leaving the threat hanging in the air.

She takes your hand in hers and gives it a squeeze. "I'm glad we had this talk, Kane. Just... try to remember who you are, and how important things like trust and respect are. Okay?"

Despite herself, Carla can't help but feel reassured by your words. She smiles softly up at you, her eyes warming with gratitude. "Thank you," she whispers before pulling you into a tight hug, burying her face against your chest. For just a moment, the tension in the room seems to dissipate as she allows herself to believe that maybe things won't be so bad after all.

Carla's laughter fills the room as she pulls back to look at you, her cheeks flushed pink with humor and embarrassment. "Oh my God," she says between breaths, shaking her head. "You are something else." But there's a lightness in her voice that hadn't been there moments ago, and for now, that's enough to make the rest of their problems seem manageable.

Carla's laugh turns into a genuine smile as she leans into the kiss, wrapping her arms around your neck. "Well," she says, her voice low and husky now. "I suppose that could work... if you can prove yourself worthy." She pulls away from the kiss just enough to gaze deeply into your eyes, searching for any hint of deception before leaning in once more, molding her body against yours.
