Elara stares down at the pleading vampire, not a single ounce of remorse in her eyes as the vampire beneath her cries and begs. Elara keeps a straight face as she lifts her foot, placing it on the vampire's head before pushing down with all her might, crushing the vampire's skull, that same blank stare remaining on her face. She lets out an annoyed sigh at the vampire blood on her suit. "Dammit... I'll just wash it off myself." She whispered to herself, using a handkerchief to wipe off majority of the blood. As she does so, she hears rustling in a nearby bush. Without hesitation, she pulls out her dagger, not an ounce of fear framing her face. She slowly approaches the bush, her movements calculated and quiet. As she reaches the bush, she immediately throws her dagger. Her aim has always been perfect, so she felt without a doubt she pierced whatever was lurking around. As she reaches to push the branches out of the way to retrieve her dagger, she sees a pair of red glowing eyes glaring at her from the side of the bush. Almost instantly, she grabs the dagger, cutting off the branches of the bush, revealing the culprit. She holds her dagger in between the person's eyes. As Elara looks closer, she notices the fangs. She presses the tip of the sharp object on the vampire's forehead, that same nonchalant expression staining her face. "You know I can kill you... right?" She asks, staring into the eyes of the vampire, expecting them to start pleading for their life.

She was beautiful, undeniably. Yet, there was something else in her eyes that made it clear she wasn't to be trifled with. Elara studied the vampire before her, waiting for some sort of reaction to her words. But all she got was silence. For a moment, confusion clouded her face... and then understanding settled in. "Ah..." She breathed out slowly, lowering her dagger a few inches from the vampire's forehead. "... So you're one of those."

"What do you want from me?" The vampire asked warily, obviously sensing that Elara was different somehow. "You're not like the others."

Elara raised an eyebrow at that. "Oh? And how am I not like the others?" She challenged, her tone dangerously soft. "I can sense..." The vampire hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words. "... You're not hunting me." Her gaze flickered over Elara, taking in every detail of her appearance before finally looking back into those cold gray eyes. "You don't want to kill me... do you?"

"Oh?" she drawled, lifting an eyebrow in a clear challenge to the vampire's assumption. "And why would you think that?" She leaned closer, studying the other vampire with a dispassionate expression on her face. It was almost as if she was simply curious... or perhaps simply bored.

"You don't have the same hunger in your eyes," the vampire replied slowly, edging away from the dagger even though it remained mere inches from her forehead. "And there's no..." She trailed off, searching for the right word to describe what she sensed from Elara. "... Malice."

Elara considered this for a moment before she finally shook her head, dismissing the notion. "Perhaps I'm just more... selective about who I hunt," she purred, her voice taking on an almost sultry tone that sent a shiver down the other vampire's spine despite herself. "Or perhaps..." She leaned in even closer now, bringing their faces mere inches apart "... Maybe I just haven't found anyone worth killing yet." Her fangs brushed against the other vampire's neck, sending a jolt of fear and anticipation through her system.

Elara felt the vampire shiver beneath her touch and couldn't help but smirk at the reaction. "So... what is it that you want from me?" she asked casually, running a single fingertip along the other vampire's cheekbone, tracing the line of her jaw. The touch was light, almost delicate... but there was no mistaking its intent.

The vampire licked her lips nervously, seemingly torn between wanting to flee and the desire to please this enigmatic being before her. "I... I don't know," she finally whispered, sounding uncertain even to herself. "I just wanted... to see what you were like."

Elara lifted an eyebrow in amusement. "And what if I told you that I'm not very interested in being your prey?" she asked softly, moving the hand with the dagger so that it rested lightly on the vampire's shoulder instead. The other vampire let out a shaky breath, feeling oddly relieved by the gesture.

"You wouldn't... try to hurt me?" she whispered, her voice small and trembling with hope. Elara chuckled darkly, causing another shiver to run down the other vampire's spine. "Oh, I could," she purred, leaning in even closer now until their lips were almost touching. "But why would I waste my time on something so insignificant when there are far more interesting things to do... with someone like you?" Her fangs glinted in the moonlight as she hovered just millimeters away from the vampire's neck, the promise of pain and pleasure hanging heavy in the air between them.

The vampire swallowed hard, her heart racing in her chest as she felt the dagger at her shoulder. "I... I could be useful to you," she whispered, eyes wide with fear and desperation. "If you let me live, if you..." She trailed off, unsure of what else to say.

Elara smiled coldly, tilting her head to the side as she studied the other vampire's expression. There was potential there, she could sense it... and that was something that always interested her. "Hmm," she purred, lowering the dagger entirely so that it hung loosely at her side once more. "Perhaps we do have a deal to be made after all." She leaned back slightly, eyeing the other vampire with renewed interest. "What would you offer me in exchange for your life?"

The vampire licked her lips nervously before carefully speaking up again. "I could tell you things... about the leaders of other covens, their strengths and weaknesses. I could give you information that would help you bring them down..." Her words tumbled out, anxious for Elara to agree to whatever bargain she could offer.

Elara raised an eyebrow at this proposition, considering it carefully. Such knowledge could indeed be useful... but was it enough? She studied the other vampire once more before finally deciding to take a gamble. "Very well," she drawled casually, her tone sending shivers down the other vampire's spine. "I accept your offer." With that said, she took a step back from the other vampire and held out her hand expectantly. "Come now, let's talk business."

The freed vampire hesitated for a moment before slowly taking Elara's hand in hers. As their skin touched, a tingle ran up her spine at the foreign sensation of warmth emanating from the other woman's palm. "My name is Kaelin," she introduced herself quietly, still unsure of what to expect from this mysterious figure who had spared her life.

"Ah, Kaelin," Elara purred. "I suppose you'll be assisting me in my little... project?" Her voice was devoid of emotion as she spoke the word 'project', making it clear that this wasn't some small-time operation to her. She paused for a moment before continuing, a tiny smirk playing at the corner of her lips. "In exchange for your life, of course."

The other vampire gave a jerky nod, unable to meet Elara's gaze. The fact that she was alive did little to diminish the sense of unease and uncertainty flowing through her veins. It was clear that this woman expected--no, demanded--complete loyalty and obedience from her... but Kaelin had no choice. She belonged to Elara now.

"Where do you suggest we begin?" she asked softly, looking anywhere but at the vampire hunter as they walked deeper into the darkness of the night together.

"Let's begin with your knowledge of the vampires you mentioned earlier," Elara suggested, her tone distant and cool. "The more information we have, the better our chances of success." She paused for a moment, studying Kaelin before adding casually, "And don't worry about betraying them. I trust that you know what happens when someone crosses me." Her eyes flickered to the dagger at her side again, emphasizing the point perfectly.

"I understand," Kaelin replied, her voice shaking slightly as they began to walk deeper into the night. "And I'll do whatever it takes to prove my loyalty." She paused, gathering her thoughts before continuing. "As for the other covens, let me see if there's anything else... important you should know about them."

It seemed to be going smoothly enough; the vampire had decided it was in her best interest to cooperate. Elara listened intently, committing every detail about each coven leader to memory. As Kaelin spoke, she wondered idly what other secrets this particular vampire might know... and how much of that information she could wring from her before disposing of the traitorous creature for good. For now, though, she contented herself with letting the night carry them further into the shadows, one step closer to her ultimate goal.
