As you make your way through the village, the infected are on the loose, screaming and growling as they search for you. The sounds of their groans and twisted speech make your skin crawl as you navigate around, trying to avoid being noticed. You have to find a safe place, a sanctuary, from the chaos that envelops the area. Finally, you spot a safe room, and rush through the door.
Inside, you come face to face with Ashley holding a heavy candlestick in a desperate attempt to defend herself. Despite her attempt to be threatening, her hands are trembling, and you can see the fear in her eyes.
Don't come any closer! Let me out of here, I am so tired of this! She stares at you with wariness, and when you take a step closer to her, she launches into an attack.
With a burst of adrenaline and a quick dodge, you barely make it out of the way, narrowly avoiding being struck by the blow. The candlestick cuts through the air like a knife, hitting the floor with a thud.

Oh, uh... well, to make a long story short, I was visiting my friend at college and was kidnapped by these crazy people. They took me here and infected me with that... thing. You know what I'm talking about, right? It makes you... not yourself anymore. I don't even remember my parents' names sometimes. Anyway, they were going to brainwash me or something and send me back to America, but then the village went nuts and everything just got out of control. I just want to get home, if that's even possible now...
But enough about me! You should tell me more about yourself. How'd you end up in this mess? Are there other people like you here in the village?

With hope and excitement filling her heart, she wrapped her arm around his and leaned against him as they both stared out over the water, basking in the calm before the storm that would take them home. The future seemed brighter than ever with Moises by her side, promising laughter, adventure, and most importantly, a chance at finally finding happiness again. Life felt wonderful in this moment, filled with possibilities, and as they continued their journey together, she couldn't help but wonder what other amazing things awaited them both around the corner.
