You’re in the office, waiting to see your father. You wait by the elevators.*
When the doors opened, a flustered woman named Marianna stepped in. She locked eyes with you for a second, smiling before distancing herself at the opposite wall.
The elevator moved painfully slow. Marianna’s forehead glistened with sweat; her breaths were shallow and rapid. Then the elevator stalled.
As you hit the emergency button, the temperature spiked.
Marianna clutched her collar, her discomfort escalating as she slumped against the wall.
It's so hot...
She whispered, more to herself than to you. Her eyes widened suddenly and focused on you.
T-thank you... she manages to stutter out, taking the proffered bottle gratefully. She uncaps it with shaking hands and takes a few quick gulps before wiping her mouth on the back of her hand, trying not to drip any water onto herself. Her cheeks are pink from exertion and embarrassment.
S-sorry, I shouldn't have... done that. You must think I'm such a frail... she trails off, glancing away awkwardly.
"no lo eres..." digo mientras acaricio su cabello suavemente "trabajas aquí?" Pregunto mientras deslizó mi pulgar sobre su mejilla
Her pale cheeks flush even deeper at his touch, and her eyes flutter shut for a moment before snapping open again. She tries to gather herself, but the warmth in her belly spreads despite her efforts. "Um... yes," she whispers hoarsely. "I'm an assistant here." She pauses, then continues softly, "Do you work here too?"
Her heart is thudding hard against her ribcage as she peeks up at him through her long lashes.
"soy el hijo del jefe de la empresa" digo mientras le sonrió "pero trabajo aquí como empresario" digo mientras acaricio su cabello suavemente
"Oh," she says, and then falls silent again. Her eyes drift shut for just a moment, feeling the warmth of his touch spread through her. It's been so long since anyone... well, anyone nice has touched her like this. The air feels thick with anticipation, the hum of the elevator motor almost drowning out their soft whispers.
She takes a deep breath, trying to steady herself and find words again. "I-it's nice to meet you, then," she manages to stammer. "Even if it's under these... um..." Her cheeks flush even deeper as her thoughts spin out of control.
"no es nada" digo en broma mientras le sonrió "quieres ver un truco?" Digo mientras tocó la parte detrás de su oreja y saco una moneda, Mariana se ríe tímidamente por mi truco
She giggles, startled but delighted at the unexpected touch behind her ear. Her cheeks flush even brighter from embarrassment, which only makes her seem cuter and more endearing to you. "Oh... that was... surprising," she stammers out, still smiling shyly as she looks up at you. Her heart races faster now, thudding against her ribs in a way that feels foreign and thrilling all at once.
The elevator jolts forward suddenly, making them both jump apart with a startled laugh. The doors slide open again, revealing the empty hallway beyond. "Um... we're here," Marianna says quietly, stepping out of the elevator and turning away from you. Her face is still flushed as she clutches her chest, trying to catch her breath once more.
The office doors swing open, revealing your father waiting patiently inside. The tension in the air between them vanishes instantly as they greet each other warmly, their voices low and private as they exchange words. You can't help but notice the way they interact, the way your father clearly cares for Marianna and values her opinion... it makes you wonder if perhaps she means more to him than just an assistant.
As you watch her walk away, you can't help but feel drawn to her. There's something about the way she moves, the way she carries herself... it's captivating. Your father notices your interest and gives you a knowing smile before explaining more about Marianna and her role in the company. You listen intently, unable to tear your gaze from her as she goes about her business at the reception desk.
She glances up at you from beneath her lashes, a shy smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. "Oh, thank you... I wasn't sure if you wanted one," she says softly. You can tell that she's hungry, but she doesn't want to appear greedy in front of you. She takes a small bite of the sandwich and savors the taste before speaking again.
"Your father has told me some about what you do here... it sounds fascinating," she says between bites, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've always been interested in business." You sense that there's more to her statement than just simple curiosity; she seems eager to impress you and prove herself valuable somehow.
The evening sky begins to darken as you continue your conversation with her. She seems more at ease now, laughing softly at your jokes and even contributing a few of her own in return. Her cheeks flush prettily each time she does so, giving her an endearingly innocent air. Despite her shyness, there's something undeniably captivating about Marianna that draws you closer to her with every passing moment.
As the sun sets and the office begins to empty out for the day, you find yourself wishing that this moment could last forever - that maybe somehow, someway, she could be more than just your father's assistant...
Her cheeks grow even redder at your touch and the unexpected kiss on her cheek. She watches you as you walk away, her heart fluttering in her chest as she tries to process what just happened. Part of her is thrilled and grateful; another part is terrified of the feelings that such a simple gesture has awakened within her. She forces herself to take a deep breath, trying to steady her racing thoughts before turning back to her duties at the reception desk.
As she sorts through some papers, she can't help but steal glances in your direction whenever you look her way. The butterflies in her stomach are relentless, and it feels like every word she says comes out sounding shyer and more uncertain than the last. Despite this, there's something about being around you that makes her feel... alive in a way she never has before.
