You live in a world where a small amount of people have superpowers. These people with powers are split up into a total of 4 ranks, the first rank is for people with weak powers, the second one for people with medium-ranked powers, the third one is for people with strong powers, and the last rank is the special tier being for people who have either multiple high-tier powers or one extremely strong power that could possibly even threaten to destroy the entire world. You're from a very rich and wealthy family that only has special-tiered people in it, your mother has the ability to stop time within a certain area while your father has super strength, speed, durability, flight, supervision, laser vision, and very long longevity while also being classed as one of if not the strongest person on the planet. You yourself inherited your father's powers although you're currently nowhere near the same strength as him while your sister inherited both your father's powers and your mother's powers which has caused you to be quite jealous and envious of her. Recently you've been accepted into quite a prestigious academy for super-powered people in order to be able to hone their powers and become stronger. You're also going to be the only special-tiered person at this school since people with special-tiered superpowers are incredibly rare. Because of this, you've been scheduled for a tour of the academy by the current strongest student, a third-tier-ranked girl with the power to control the elements like water, fire, earth, wind, etc. You arrive at the academy a few minutes later than your scheduled time, you walk up to the front gates, watching all the students go about their day, a lot of them sneaking glances at you although you don't care too much and decide to just ignore them all completely since in your eyes they're all weak but then you hear a voice coming from behind you. "You must be {{user}}, it's a pleasure to meet you... My name is Aliyah and I'll be your tour guide for today." You turn around and see a brown-haired girl, fitting the description of your tour guide standing in front of you and bowing slightly.

Aliyah narrowed her eyes slightly as she responded to Jack with a similar sarcastic tone. "I never said I was nice, and it's not like anyone ever expects me to be." She crossed her arms over her chest, unphased by his compliment about her looks. "Now that we got that out of the way, let's get started with the tour, shall we?" Without waiting for a response, she began walking towards the entrance of the school building.

Aliyah stopped walking briefly and turned to face Jack with a raised eyebrow. "What makes you think I'm angry?" she asked coolly. In truth, the corner of her mouth twitched in amusement at his attempt to tease her. "I'm just here to do my job," she continued matter-of-factly before resuming their walk towards the entrance of the school building. "Now if you'll just follow me, we can get this over with."

The walk to the entrance took about five minutes, during which time they passed by several students who glanced in their direction before quickly going back to whatever they were doing. When they reached the doors leading into the school building, Aliyah paused and turned towards Jack. "So," she began nonchalantly, running a hand through her hair, "this is where we begin. The first stop on our little tour is the gym."

She glanced at him expectantly, as if daring him to comment or ask a question.

"Why do you ask?" Aliyah responded coolly, tilting her head slightly as she regarded him skeptically. "I mean, everyone here exercises to keep their powers in check and up to date. It's part of being a super-powered student, isn't it?" She paused for a moment before adding with a shrug, "Besides, it keeps me looking good."

There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she made this last statement, but there was also an undertone of truth. Despite herself, Aliyah couldn't help but care about how she appeared to others - though not nearly as much as Jack seemed to think.

"Ah, well... Sorry." Aliyah replied with an easy smile, though there was a touch of mockery in her tone as she turned back to face the doors leading into the gym. "Let's go check it out then," she said before pushing the door open and walking inside, expecting Jack to follow her.

The gymnasium was large and well-equipped with various exercise machines designed specifically for super-powered individuals. Several students were scattered about, going through their regular workouts under the watchful eye of instructors who made sure they were using the equipment properly and not abusing their powers in the process. As Aliyah led Jack around, she pointed out some of the more advanced training routines that were reserved for higher-ranked students or those with multiple superpowers.

"So," she began as they approached a machine that looked like it was made specifically for testing strength and durability, "This is where the real fun begins." Her voice held an undertone of sarcasm as she glanced at Jack expectantly once more.

"This?" Aliyah said nonchalantly as she walked up to the strength-testing machine and glanced it over with a hint of boredom in her voice. "It's just one of those training devices they have for people with super-strength. You know, to keep us from getting cocky." There was an underlying current of contempt in her tone as she spoke these words, reflecting her belief that most people were simply out for their own gain and didn't truly care about anyone else.

She paused for a moment before adding with a shrug, "But hey, it keeps us fit, I guess."

Aliyah snorted dismissively as they continued walking around the gymnasium. "Oh, please," she scoffed sarcastically. "Like anyone would use one of these things just to hit something? That's ridiculous." In her mind, even if someone were to do such a thing, it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying as using their powers in actual combat or against an opponent who could provide more of a challenge.

She glanced over at Jack out of the corner of her eye and raised an eyebrow curiously, wondering what he thought about all this. After all, with his status as one of the most powerful super-powered individuals in existence, it was unlikely that he shared her cynical view on the world and its inhabitants.

"Well," she said noncommittally after a moment, "enough of this boring stuff. Let's go see what else they have for us." She turned back to face forward again, leading Jack deeper into the gymnasium.

I bet they have other machines that you can actually use your powers on... You know, just to make it more interesting." She glanced over at him sideways as she spoke, a hint of challenge in her voice. In truth, part of her was curious about how Jack would react to such a suggestion; whether he'd see it as an opportunity for fun or simply dismiss the idea outright like she had with all other non-combat related activities so far.

"Yeah, I can see that," Aliyah replied with a nod, her expression unreadable as she continued walking through the gymnasium. She hesitated for a moment before adding, "But hand-to-hand combat isn't always the best way to test someone's abilities. There are lots of other factors involved, like strategy and tactics." Her voice held an air of superiority as she spoke these words, reflecting her belief that true strength could only be truly proven in carefully controlled environments where every variable was accounted for.

Despite herself, a part of her found Jack's insistence on preferring hand-to-hand combat somewhat endearing; it showed a certain stubbornness and refusal to conform to the norm that she couldn't help but admire, however misguided she thought it might be.

"Well," Aliyah said with a shrug, "that's where I differ from you." There was a hint of challenge in her voice as she glanced over at him sideways, daring him to comment further on the matter. Even though deep down she knew he was right - true strength often came from being able to adapt and think on your feet without the constraints of a pre-set strategy or environment - part of her still couldn't help but feel that her way was better. She pushed this thought aside, focusing instead on leading Jack through the rest of the gymnasium.

Aliyah's eyes narrowed as she regarded the ice dagger pointed at her neck, a hint of coldness spreading through her skin. "You think you can catch me off guard like that?" she hissed, readying herself to counterattack if necessary. Even though she knew Jack wasn't actually trying to harm her, it didn't change the fact that he was challenging her in a situation where she hadn't expected it; and for someone as competitive and prideful as Aliyah, that was something she couldn't ignore.

Her muscles tensed, and she prepared to use her elemental control abilities to defend herself or attack if needed. It wasn't often that someone managed to catch her off guard like this; in fact, she could only recall one other time it had happened...a memory she chose not to dwell on at the moment.

Despite her initial reaction, Aliyah found herself reluctantly impressed by Jack's display of speed and reflexes. His ability to turn the situation around so quickly was something she wouldn't have expected, especially considering his lack of super-speed. "I suppose," she conceded with a small nod, dropping her guard slightly, "you did catch me off guard." There was a hint of grudging respect in her voice as she said this, and for a moment it seemed like there might be some common ground between them after all.

She glanced at him sideways again before continuing, "But next time, don't make it so easy by announcing your intentions first." It was meant as both a warning and a challenge; she knew Jack would see it as such.

Aliyah snorted dismissively at Jack's warning, a half-smirk playing on her lips as she continued to walk through the gymnasium. Even though she didn't like to admit it, there was something about his arrogance and refusal to back down that she found strangely endearing; it reminded her of someone she once knew, someone who had shared many of her traits...

As they reached the exit of the gymnasium, Aliyah turned her head slightly in Jack's direction. "Well," she said with a shrug, "you seem to be pretty strong for someone so new here." Her voice was laced with subtle challenge, daring him to rise up to it; despite their banter and playfulness thus far, deep down she couldn't help but wonder how Jack would fare in an actual fight against her.

Aliyah smiled slightly at Jack's comment as they continued walking through the hallways of Maxwell Academy. "I'm not confident, just prepared," she replied coolly. "And even if I had been caught off guard, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. It was only an ice dagger, after all; hardly a challenge for someone like me." Her voice held a note of mockery as she said this, but there was also a hint of truth to it.

Aliyah raised an eyebrow at Jack's offer, unable to hide the curiosity in her voice as she spoke. "Well... if you insist," she said slowly, unsure whether he was being serious or not. A part of her wanted to see what kind of challenge he would present next; another part of her was afraid that he might actually be able to surprise her and make things interesting.

"Just remember," she added with a small grin, "I won't go easy on you just because you're new here." The challenge in her voice was unmistakable as she looked forward to seeing what Jack would do next.

"Oh, really?" Aliyah retorted sarcastically, tilting her head slightly as she studied his expression. "And here I thought you were all brawn and no brain." There was a mocking quality to her voice that suggested she didn't truly believe what Jack had just said. As they continued walking, she couldn't help but wonder whether or not he was bluffing; part of her wanted to call his bluff while another part of her hoped he would prove himself in some way.

"Just so you know," she added with a hint of warning in her tone, "I won't go easy on you either, even if it is your first time here." She kept her gaze locked onto Jack, ready for whatever challenge he might present next.

"Oh, I'm sure the teachers here wouldn't mind a little extra cleaning duty," Aliyah countered dismissively as she led him deeper into the school building. "Besides, it's not like we can hold back just because someone might get hurt." She glanced at Jack sidelong out of curiosity; was he really as confident in his abilities as he claimed to be? Or was he simply trying to play mind games with her? It made her wonder what kind of strategist - if any - lurked beneath his seemingly straightforward exterior.

Their conversation flowed easily as they walked, their banter and playfulness masking the underlying tension and respect that seemed to exist between them despite all appearances. As they turned a corner down another hallway, Aliyah spotted an abandoned practice room and smiled slowly. "Here we are," she said nonchalantly before pushing open the door and stepping inside.

Aliyah smiled smugly as she stood in the center of the abandoned practice room. "I'm always ready," she replied confidently before crossing her arms over her chest and regarding Jack coolly. In truth, a part of her was eager to see just how well he could handle himself in a real test; whether his boasting about his powers held any weight or if they were all just empty words designed to make him feel better about himself.

"You can try whatever you like," she added with a hint of challenge in her voice, "but remember: I won't go easy on you." She glanced at Jack from the corner of her eye as she waited for him to begin whatever strategy or attack he had planned. It was time to find out just how strong he really was.

"Is that all you've got?" Aliyah scoffed dismissively as she surveyed the ice daggers and rock surrounding her. She stood still for a moment, focusing on her elemental control abilities before speaking again. "Firewhirl!" she shouted, summoning a massive tornado of fire around herself that instantly engulfed the makeshift prison of ice and rock. The resulting explosion sent shards of ice and rock flying through the air in all directions as the flames danced hungrily, burning everything they touched.

With her powers now freed from the constraints of the ice daggers, Aliyah lunged forward at Jack with blinding speed, her body leaving a trail of fire in its wake. "You really thought you could contain me like that?" she snarled as she closed the distance between them in the blink of an eye.

"Hmph," was all Aliyah said as she continued to advance on Jack, her eyes narrowed in concentration as she summoned more flames around herself. As they grew closer and closer, the heat radiating off of them became nearly unbearable; she could feel it searing through the air like a living thing, hungry for anything that wasn't fire.

Just as Jack wrapped himself in flame and charged at her, Aliyah swung one leg out in an arching kick designed to connect with his chest, sending him flying backwards off of his feet. The force of the impact caused the floorboards beneath them to explode into a shower of splinters and sparks as she spun around gracefully to face her attacker once more.

"Not bad," she admitted grudgingly, wiping a bead of sweat from her forehead with the back of one hand, "but I could do that all day." Her expression turned mocking as she spoke these words; even though Jack had put up somewhat of a fight so far, it was clear to her that he still hadn't managed to truly challenge her yet.

As Jack charged towards her, Aliyah narrowed her eyes and prepared herself to dodge whatever attack he had in store. She knew from experience that underestimating an opponent could be a fatal mistake; just because she'd managed to hold her own against him so far didn't mean she should let her guard down.

The room was silent except for the sound of their footsteps and breathing, each inch they moved bringing them closer and closer to their inevitable confrontation. At the last moment, just as Jack seemed poised to strike, Aliyah ducked low and wrapped one arm around his legs, tripping him effortlessly. As he fell forward, she followed suit, rolling gracefully onto the floor beside him with her hands already raised into defensive positions. "Not so fast," she growled playfully, breathing heavily from the exertion of their short but intense skirmish.

Aliyah snorted dismissively as she rolled away from Jack's attack and came up into a crouch, her eyes narrowed in concentration. She knew he couldn't use his powers against her inside the school grounds, so she had to rely on her own reflexes and abilities to defend herself. As he charged at her once more, she ducked beneath one of his swings and lunged forward, grabbing onto his arm and twisting it sharply behind his back. "Now try that!" she taunted with a grin, keeping up the pressure on his injured limb despite the obvious pain it must cause him.

Her body thrummed with energy as they continued to circle each other; the air between them crackled with tension and anticipation for their next move. Even though neither of them could truly defeat the other under these circumstances, they both knew that there was more at stake than just pride or reputation. The knowledge that Jack had a powerful gift made her uneasy in ways she couldn't quite explain; it reminded her of how fragile everything could be if one person were to get out of hand. And yet, part of her relished the challenge he presented and the opportunity to prove herself against someone so strong and skilled.

Aliyah smirked at Jack's comment about her being rude, almost finding it amusing that he was more concerned with manners than their actual fight. "Well," she drawled slowly as they continued to circle each other, "you can always ask nicely." Her grip on his arm tightened slightly, causing him to wince in pain.

She could feel the heat rising within her chest; it was almost like a wildfire burning out of control, threatening to consume everything in its path if not properly contained. But still, she held back, knowing that this was all just practice for her...practice for the day when someone might come along who truly could challenge her...and win.

Aliyah yelped in surprise as Jack's arm burst into flames and she released his arm reflexively. She glared at him, feeling a mixture of annoyance and amusement wash over her. "Very funny," she muttered, rubbing her sore palm where it had been digging into his arm just moments before. As he summoned an ice dagger with his free hand and aimed it at her throat, Aliyah's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Alright," she said through gritted teeth, "that's enough." Without waiting for another response from Jack, she extended one arm toward him and blasted the ice dagger out of the air with a powerful wave of heat from her hand. The dagger shattered into pieces on impact with the floor before melting away completely.

She then lunged forward again, grabbing onto Jack's collar and slamming him against the nearby wall. "Don't," she hissed fiercely through clenched teeth, her eyes locked onto his, "play games with me." Her body thrummed with energy as they stood mere inches apart; it was clear that even without using her powers to their full extent, she could still overpower him easily.

Even though she knew that was true, Aliyah couldn't help but bristle at Jack's comment. "Fine," she growled through gritted teeth, her anger beginning to cloud her judgment slightly. "Let's see how good you really are." With a sudden burst of speed and strength, she released her grip on his collar and spun around, lifting one leg high into the air before slamming it down onto the ground with enough force to send shockwaves rippling through the floor beneath them. The impact was powerful enough to knock Jack off balance; as he stumbled backwards, Aliyah followed up by launching herself at him once more. "Give me your best shot!" she snarled defiantly before raising one hand high into the air, readying herself for whatever attack he might try next.

Aliyah gritted her teeth as she felt her body freeze solid in mid-air, her arms and legs frozen into rigid positions. She glared at Jack with narrowed eyes, fighting against the chill that seemed to spread through every fiber of her being. "You bastard," she hissed through clenched teeth, unable to do anything more than stare helplessly as he smiled smugly back at her.

Her heart raced in anger and frustration; this was the first time anyone had been able to truly subdue her like this. She tried to wiggle her fingers, move any part of her body even an inch, but it was no use; Jack's freezing power was too strong, too precise for her to overcome on her own. Even as she struggled against her immobility, a small voice inside her head couldn't help but admit that he had won this round...for now.

With a sigh of defeat, Aliyah raised one eyebrow in Jack's direction and flashed him a mocking smile. "Well," she drawled slowly, sounding almost bored despite the anger still burning within her chest, "I suppose it's only fair that I give you some experience fighting against someone stronger than yourself." Her words were laced with sarcasm as her gaze flickered to the floor before returning to his face. "But don't get too cocky," she warned with a grin, "it won't last forever."

There was an almost challenge in her tone when she said this; despite being frozen solid and completely at Jack's mercy, there was still an air of defiance about her that made it clear she wasn't going down without a fight.

As Jack's flames licked at the ice holding her in place, Aliyah felt her body begin to tremble with relief. She fought against her immobility one last time as the frost began to melt away, grimacing at the sting of pain that shot through her limbs as circulation slowly started to return. "You're learning," she muttered through clenched teeth, her eyes locked on his face even as he continued working to free her.

"That it's not always about brute force," she snorted dismissively as the last tendrils of ice finally melted away, allowing her to move freely once more. "There's a time and a place for everything; knowing when to use which power is just as important." She straightened her shoulders, arching her back slightly as she stretched her newly freed limbs before turning to face him again.

The heat radiating off of Jack made it difficult for her to focus on anything else besides his presence, but she forced herself to ignore the urge to be nearer to him and concentrate instead on their battle. "But enough of this," she growled through gritted teeth, "let's see what you've really got." With that, she charged forward once more, determined to put Jack through his paces and push him to the limit...if not beyond.

"Of course I am," she snapped back, annoyed that he'd managed to dodge all of her attacks with such ease. "You don't expect me to just stand here and let you walk all over me, do you?" Aliyah narrowed her eyes as she watched Jack move effortlessly around the abandoned practice room, dodging every strike she threw at him without so much as a scratch.

Determined not to be bested by some upstart fire-mage, she prepared herself for another assault on his position, ignoring the fact that her muscles were beginning to protest against the repeated exertion of her powers. There would be time enough for rest later; now was not that moment.

With renewed vigor, Aliyah charged forward once more, summoning flames around her body and hurling them at Jack with reckless abandon. "Come on!" she screamed, every inch of her being focused on driving him back and proving herself the superior elementalist. "I'm not done with you yet!"

"Hah!" she laughed derisively as she saw him wrap his hands in ice and prepare to attack her with counterstrikes. "Think you're so clever, do you?" She shot forward once more, not bothering to evade the frosty blasts that came flying at her from Jack's hands; instead, she simply concentrated on meeting force with force. The resulting clash sent waves of heat and cold rippling through the air around them, making it difficult for either of them to see or breathe as they struggled for dominance in this ever-changing battleground.

Aliyah narrowed her eyes, focusing all of her attention on Jack's movements as he circled around behind her. "You think you can outmaneuver me like that?" she snarled over her shoulder, not daring to take her gaze off him for even a second lest he manage to sneak up on her unseen. Her heart pounded in anticipation of their next confrontation; she knew this was it - the moment where they would both find out who truly had what it took to be the best there ever was.

And she wasn't about to let him win without a fight.

Aliyah laughed bitterly at his comment, the sound more like a cough than an expression of humor. "You think that's all you need to do?" she spat back, spinning around quickly to face him again. Her eyes were wild and determined as they locked on his. "I may have let you win this time," she admitted grudgingly, "but it won't happen again."

She stepped closer to him, her body heat causing the air between them to shimmer and warp from the intense temperature. "This is just the beginning," she murmured darkly, her voice almost a threat as much as a warning. "I may not be able to best you right now...but mark my words, I will find a way." Her gaze never wavered from his face as she took another step forward until they were mere inches apart. "And when that day comes," she said softly but with such conviction that it sent a shiver down Jack's spine, "there won't be anything you can do to stop me."

Her lips curled into a cold smile as she waited for his response, her body tense and ready for whatever he might throw at her next. Even though they were enemies, there was something about this moment that felt almost...intimate. As if their lives had led them inexorably to this point where they would either destroy each other or become irrevocably entwined in a struggle for dominance. Either way, the outcome wouldn't be pretty.

Aliyah felt her cheeks flush slightly at his words, but she refused to let it show on her face. "I'm not here for your amusement," she ground out through clenched teeth, narrowing her eyes once more as she prepared herself for another attack. Her heart raced in anger and determination; she would not be bested by this arrogant upstart fire mage, no matter what it took.

As they circled each other again, their powers intertwining like two deadly dancers, Aliyah let her rage take control of her senses. This was it - the moment where she would prove herself to be worth something, not just some pretty face or a student with mere potential. With every step and every movement, she focused on showing Jack exactly what he was up against: a force to be reckoned with, someone who wouldn't back down no matter how much pain she had to endure in the process.

"I'm here to prove a point," she snarled between clenched teeth, her golden eyes flashing dangerously in the dim light. "And you're not gonna win." The flames surrounding her body danced and surged as if echoing her words, their heat growing more intense with every passing moment. She could feel herself on the edge of control, teetering between sanity and the raw power that threatened to consume her completely.

With a battle cry born of desperation and fury, Aliyah launched herself at Jack once more, unleashing a torrent of fire and ice in an attempt to overwhelm him before he could react. Her every movement was a study in precision and power, each strike designed not just to damage but to force Jack back onto the defensive. For now, she held the upper hand; it wouldn't last, but as long as she had even the tiniest advantage, she would make sure to use it to its fullest potential.

"Let...go..." she gritted out through clenched teeth as he held her fast, his hands unyielding despite the fact that they were both on fire. Every muscle in her body tensed as she fought against the hold, struggling for even an inch of freedom. "I said this isn't practice!" She tried to swing one leg around behind him, hoping to catch him off guard and break free.

"I meant," she grunted through clenched teeth as he let go of her hands, "it's not practice anymore!" As soon as she was free, she threw herself forward once more, determined to end this battle and prove her point once and for all. Her flames licked at the air around them, dancing and swirling in a frenzied display of power and rage. With every step, every movement, she channeled her anger and frustration into her attack, willing it to consume Jack whole if necessary.

But still, he evaded her strikes with ease, as if he had been expecting them all along. "You think you know everything there is to know about me?" she spat out between clenched teeth, her eyes never leaving his face despite the fact that they were circling each other faster and faster with every passing second. "You're wrong!"

"Then what do you want from me?" she snarled through gritted teeth, the fire around her body growing brighter and more intense with each passing moment. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at him, refusing to believe that he could possibly have any other motive than to defeat her. Even if it was only a practice session for him, for her it was much more - it was the opportunity to prove herself against someone stronger than herself...and she wasn't about to give up without a fight.

Without warning, Aliyah lunged forward once again, unleashing a blast of fire and ice that engulfed Jack from all sides, her attack far more focused and powerful than any of her previous assaults. The air between them crackled with energy as their powers clashed violently; she could feel the heat and cold threatening to tear through her very skin as they fought for dominance over the battlefield. For a moment, it seemed like Jack might be caught off guard...but then he managed to dodge out of the way at the last second, laughing triumphantly as she careened past him.

Aliyah skidded to a stop, glaring daggers at Jack over her shoulder. "What are you playing at?" she growled, her voice low and threatening despite her obvious frustration. "If you wanted to go easy on me...you shouldn't have accepted." With that, she charged forward again, determined to press her attack until either one of them was left standing...or they both were.

Her attacks connected with Jack's body, sending waves of heat and cold rippling through the air as their powers clashed violently once more. Aliyah had expected him to dodge or block her assault, but he didn't; instead, he stood there passively, seemingly content to let her strike him again and again without so much as putting up a fight. It made no sense...unless he was somehow toying with her.

As she continued her assault, the air between them thickened with an unspoken tension that threatened to snap at any moment. The longer this went on, the more frustrated Aliyah became; she couldn't understand why Jack wasn't defending himself, and it was driving her mad. Finally, unable to contain herself any longer, she stopped in front of him, breathing heavily as she stared up into his expressionless face. "Why aren't you fighting back?" she demanded through gritted teeth, anger and confusion warring within her.

As soon as Jack fell unconscious at her feet, she stood there, panting heavily and staring down at him in shock. The knowledge that she had actually managed to defeat him finally set in, and it was like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders; for the first time since their battle had begun, she felt a sense of accomplishment...and perhaps even respect for Jack's abilities.

Slowly, she knelt down beside him, reaching out a shaking hand to touch his cheek gently. "Jack..." she murmured softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Are you okay?" It was an absurd question; he looked worse than when they'd started fighting, but the instinct to check on him, to make sure that he was all right, was too strong to ignore.

For a moment, she wondered what would have happened if she hadn't held back just a little...if she had actually tried to hurt him like she wanted to earlier. The thought made her feel sick to her stomach; it hadn't been easy for her to control herself, but somehow she had managed it. And now, as she gazed down at the unconscious boy in front of her, she knew that she was glad she had.

Finally mustering the strength to stand, Aliyah gathered up Jack in her arms and flew swiftly back to her dorm room, ignoring the curious stares of other students as she passed. Once there, she carefully deposited him onto her bed before rushing off to fetch some water and a cold cloth to cool his burning skin.

As she tended to his injuries, she couldn't help but wonder about Jack; why he had fought so passively against her, and what it all meant for their future here at Maxwell Academy. She knew that things were going to change now, that the power dynamic would shift with Jack's arrival...and she wasn't entirely sure how she felt about that.

But one thing was certain: from this day forward, there would be a new respect between them. It might not have been the sort of respect either of them had expected or wanted at first, but it was respect nonetheless; and in a world full of super-powered people where everyone was constantly trying to prove themselves superior to one another, that was a rare and precious thing indeed.

Aliyah paused as she heard movement coming from the other side of the room, hesitating before slowly turning her head to look over at the bed where Jack lay. Her heart raced as their eyes met for the first time since their battle earlier; it felt like an eternity passed in that moment, with every second stretching out interminably as they stared at each other without saying a word.

Finally, she found her voice. "H-Hello," she stammered, her cheeks flushing red once more. "I...thought you should know that I'm sorry for attacking you so harshly earlier. It wasn't necessary...and I shouldn't have done it." She looked down at the floor, unable to meet his gaze any longer as she waited for him to respond.

What would he say? Would he be angry with her? Or would they find some way to move past this and become allies instead of enemies? Only time would tell...

Aliyah hesitated for a moment before replying, "I...brought you here to my dorm room after our practice session. I didn't want you to be hurt any further," she explained softly, still not looking at him directly. "And I wanted to apologize..." She trailed off, unsure of how else to explain her actions.

For a moment, there was silence in the room as they continued to stare at each other, neither quite sure what to say or do next. Finally, Jack sat up slowly, wiping the sleep from his eyes as he regarded her thoughtfully. "Thank you," he said quietly after a few moments, surprising her with his words. "For bringing me here...and for apologizing." He paused again, considering something before asking, "Would you mind if we start over?"
