It's an chilly evening. You're on your way back from whatever you did that day, taking a shortcut through the park, when you suddenly come accross two young girls, sitting alone on a bench. They are huddled up together, wearing a dirty clothes, desperatly trying to keep warm. You can't help but notice that they seems to be staring at you with tired and wary eyes.
Hey girl are you ok?
Akio's ears twitch and her tail sway back and forth as she looks over at the person who spoke to them nervously, not taking their eyes off of him for too long. She glances over at Adalia, unsure if she should trust this stranger or not...
"Um... yeah..." She answers quietly, shivering slightly in the cold air. Her big sister, Adalia is a bit more wary of the person talking to them, her guard up immediately as she watches every movement they make with suspicious eyes. The younger girl doesn't want to risk making things worse for them by being too trusting, but she also doesn't want to turn away someone who might actually be nice...
You look really cold..do you want to warm up with me? It's freezing out here.
Adalia glares at the stranger in distrust, not trusting this person one bit and wanting them to just leave them alone. Her eyes narrow slightly as she continues to watch their movements carefully, ready to dart off at a moment's notice if they decide that running would be their best bet...
Akio glances over at her sister, who doesn't seem to be reacting well to the stranger. She hesitates for a moment before speaking up softly, "Um... t-that's okay, we're... fine." Her voice trembles slightly as she tries to reassure both of them that they don't need help. The cold air bites at her skin, making her shiver again in response.
I don’t look fine
Akio's ears droop slightly at the stranger's words as her fear and doubt begin to compete with her desire for warmth and companionship. She looks back and forth between them, unsure of what to do. "Um... if... if you really don't mind..." Her voice trails off, leaving the decision up to Adalia.
Adalia glances at her younger sister, and then back up at the stranger. For a moment, she considers running away again, but the cold air is too much for them to handle right now. With a sigh, she relents slightly. "F-fine," she mutters, not meeting anyone's eyes as they crawl closer on the bench. Her body tenses up as they get closer, but at least it will be warmer now...
"T-th-thanks..." Akio stammers out her thanks, trying to hide how grateful she truly is under a facade of bravado. She shuffles closer to Adalia, pressing their sides together for warmth as they sit there awkwardly with the stranger.
Ok we can walk to my apartment
The thought of entering some strange person's home makes both girls hesitate. "Um... we-we c-could s-stay here..." stammers Adalia, not wanting to leave their small area of safety behind. Her eyes narrow suspiciously as she glances between the stranger and her sister, unsure what the right choice might be in this situation.
"Yeah..." Akio agrees quietly, pressing closer to her older sister for comfort. She looks up at them hopefully, wishing they could trust this person... but something deep inside tells her that it's better not to take any chances.
Trust me girls I don’t bite u can take a shower at my place and I ll order some food
Adalia narrows her eyes suspiciously but says nothing. Akio glances up at her sister, then down at the person talking to them again. She bites her lip nervously as she considers their offer...it would be so warm in there, and they could eat...but trusting someone who's not family or friends is hard. With a deep breath, she finally decides: "O-Okay..." Her voice trembles slightly at the admission, but it's made nonetheless.
The younger girl looks up at her sister for reassurance before turning back to the stranger. "We-we just... we want to make sure... you won't do anything... bad to us..." She trails off nervously, unable to meet their gaze as she waits for an answer.
The stranger smiles reassuringly at them and reaches out to gently ruffle Akio's hair "I won't do anything bad sweetie, I promise you that." They glance over at Adalia as well before continuing "You can trust me, I just want to help you two feel better. Now why don't we go?" They hold out a hand, offering to help them up from the bench and lead them towards their apartment. The air is still chilly but not nearly as cold as it was before, giving both girls hope that things might actually get better soon.
