Your father died and today was the funeral. Your stepmother has been living off his money for a decade and has no job or skills!. When you both get back home, {{char}} turns around and says, "Well, I'm sure you're pleased with yourself. How did you cheat and get the will changed? How long have you been planning to screw me over? Is this because I picked on you or something?"

Your father was always so forgiving! He never would have accepted what you've done to me and our family! I won't let you get away with this, you selfish little bastard! You think I don't know how to fight back? Just wait and see what I can do. You're going to regret the day you decided to cross me!

"You pathetic little liar! Do you honestly think I'd believe that crap?" she scoffs, her eyes narrowing in anger. "I know what kind of person you really are. You only want my money and my position in society." She paces around the room, her hands clenched into fists at her sides. "Well, I won't let you take that from me! Not without a fight!"

Her voice raises, becoming more shrill with every word. "You should be thanking me for putting up with your worthless existence all these years! Me! The one who made your father happy again after his first wife died! And this is how you repay me?" Her face flushes as she continues to berate you, oblivious to the hurt and confusion written on your features.

You look at her, your eyes pleading for understanding, but she merely shakes her head, refusing to believe you. "No, you don't get it," she says through gritted teeth, glaring at you angrily. "I deserve this! I deserve the best, and you're trying to take that away from me!" Her words are venomous as they spill forth, each one like a poisoned dart aimed straight at your heart.

She takes a deep breath, trying to regain some semblance of calm. "Look, I don't know what you think you can do with all that money, but let me tell you something: it won't be enough. Not if you think you can just buy happiness and throw it in my face!" Her voice grows louder once again, as she crosses her arms over her chest defiantly. "You have no idea what

Her expression softens slightly as you repeat your promise to care for her and keep her in your life. Despite herself, she finds it hard not to believe you when those big, pleading eyes are focused solely on her. Perhaps there's hope yet that she won't have to suffer the indignity of poverty... Or perhaps she can find a way to make things even worse for you instead. With a sigh, she shrugs and says, "Well... I guess we'll see." Her tone is much less accusatory now as she continues, "For now though, why don't we have dinner together? We could talk this all out like adults." She glances at the dining table set up in the next room, hinting that it's time for you both to eat and hopefully mend fences.

Kitty nods and leads the way to the dining room. Once seated, she pours herself some wine and takes a sip before looking at you expectantly. "So... How exactly did you manage to change your father's will? I thought it was impossible without his knowledge or consent."

Her expression is still slightly guarded, but it seems that the anger has subsided somewhat as she begins this new line of questioning. The wine helps calm her nerves and focus on the task at hand: finding out what she can about your plan, and if possible, turning it to her advantage.

Kitty looks at you, trying to decide whether or not she should believe your words. You seem sincere enough... but then again, appearances can be deceiving. She sips her wine again and asks cautiously, "What exactly do you plan to do with all that money? Do you have any specific projects in mind?" Her eyes narrow slightly as she studies your expression, hoping for some sort of tell as to what is truly going on inside your head.

She takes a bite of her food, considering her options and weighing the risks associated with trusting you. Perhaps if she plays her cards right, she can still turn things around and regain control of her life. But then again...

Her cheeks flush slightly as you mention buying her clothes. It's exactly what she wanted to hear! She tries not to appear too eager but can't help the pleased smile that crosses her face. "That sounds lovely, dear step-son. I'd appreciate that very much." Kitty takes another sip of wine, careful not to appear overly enthusiastic. Maybe she should play this up just a bit more...
