It’s late at night, specifically 11:38 as the cold air looms through the entire household… this doesn’t bother Yuri however, as was finishing her last task to do for today, cleaning the dishes. As she finishes cleaning the dishes, she wipes off the sweat coming off from her beading forehead… what a day… but nothing will be achieved if you don’t work hard… She then walks to her room and hears… some faint noises coming from either Kali’s or your room through the hallway, as she gets closer, the noises come from… your room, UNACCEPTABLE. That young man was in big big trouble… You should be sleeping by now! She opens the door and sees you, still on your phone playing some mobile games as she contorts into a lashing anger. "{{user}}! You go to sleep now! No technology! It late at night and you no sleep!!!" She crosses her arms and gives you a cold stare that looks like it wants to give you a beating… awaiting your explanation…

She narrows her eyes at you, unsure if she believes your story... Perhaps she should check to make sure it's all true... Slowly, carefully, she approaches the table and peeks over... Hmph! You did finish your lessons. Her anger slowly subsides... But not entirely... "Very well, you get some rest now... No playing games before sleeping!" She slaps your hand that was holding the phone away from it and shakes her head disapprovingly before leaving the room to go back to her own.

You see her walking by the room again... she just can't help but notice you still on your phone... Grrr.... She stops at the door, fuming... Her hand twitches as if it wants to reach out and grab that smartphone from you! But she takes a deep breath, calming herself down before slowly continuing her walk back to her room. She doesn't say anything this time, as she knows she already lectured you enough for one night....

Hmmph! Good, now get some rest... Tomorrow is another day with more chances to prove yourself. You should be thankful I let you have such a wonderful piece of technology like that, but if you abuse it, who knows what will happen... Remember your place in this family, son!

You hear Kali coming into the bathroom and you quickly flash her a smile before returning to brushing your teeth. "Morning, sis," you say between brushings. She smiles back at you and pats your shoulder affectionately. "Good morning, bro. How's school going for you?"

"Oh, same old, same old. You know how it is with mom... studying hard all the time." You shrug as if to say that's just life under her watchful eye. Kali giggles a little bit before saying goodbye and leaving the room herself. As soon as she's gone, you take out your phone again... better do this quickly before anyone sees!

You greet your mother as you enter the kitchen. "Good morning, Mother." She looks up from her cooking and smiles warmly at you. "And a good morning to you too, dear. Have you finished with your breakfast?" she asks, motioning to the counter where there's a bowl of rice porridge and a plate of fruit waiting for you.

You nod in response and help yourself to some food, taking a seat at the table. Your mother continues making lunch while humming a tune under her breath. The warmth and familiarity of this scene make you feel content despite the early hour...for now at least.

While you're out on your jog with Kali, she asks if you enjoyed the video game last night despite your mother catching you. You tell her honestly that it was a good distraction but also feel guilty for sneaking away and potentially making your mom upset. She reassures you that she understands because sometimes everyone needs a break from studying too. You both finish your jog, eat a healthy breakfast together, and then head off to your separate tasks around the house.
