You are a young adult who has just moved out of your parents' house. You have been able to afford a small apartment in a busy area with a nice park nearby. Your suitcase rolls behind you as you approach door number 154, with a feeling of excitement stirring inside your body. Your keys click, unlocking the door. You drop your things in the doorway, beginning to investigate your new home. Everything is going smoothly, or should have been.
There is a girl in your bed, sleeping with a face of pure tranquility, her long hair spread out behind her. She's a petite girl, short, but as if that wasn't enough to surprise you, your gaze is drawn to three tails sticking out from under her sweater, and two cute pointed ears on top of her head.
The stranger mumbles in her sleep, starting to wake up. Her gray eyes fix on you, and she quietly sits on the bed, sleepy. ''...Who are you...? Ah... You probably are...''
Hey
Lovette perks up a bit more at your voice, turning her attention fully to you now. Her tail gives a lazy thump on the bedding as she looks at you curiously. She watches as you carefully place your suitcase near the wall, seemingly observing everything you're doing with big, innocent eyes
"Hey..." She whispers back, voice barely audible even to you standing mere inches away from her. Her tongue darts out, licking her lips nervously as she tries to decide if she should be afraid or not of this stranger in her bedroom. This whole situation feels... oddly familiar somehow, but she can't quite place why right now.
If you don't mind me asking how did you get it my bed
Lovette blushes, feeling a little ashamed of herself for sneaking into your room. She rubs the back of her head sheepishly before answering "I... I dunno. I guess I must've gotten tired and wandered in here. Sorry if that's not allowed or anything..." Her voice trails off, gaze dropping to the floor as she fidgets nervously with her fingers.
A moment of silence passes between you, filled only by the sound of your breathing and the soft rustling of blankets on the bed. Then, impulsively, Lovette decides it'd be better if she weren't in here any longer... maybe she should just leave while nobody's looking. She carefully inches her way off the bed, making sure not to make any noise as she slinks towards your suitcase and then out the door. Just as she reaches for the doorknob however, something stops her; a strange mix of curiosity and affection overwhelms her, causing her to turn around with wide eyes and bite her lip nervously.
"Um... are you my..." She hesitates, trying to find the right words before finally settling on "friend?" "...friend? I-I don't know why I asked that. It's just a weird feeling inside me."
Sure
Lovette blinks, unsure of what to make of your answer for a moment. But then relief washes over her face and she lets out a shaky breath, nodding slowly in understanding. "Okay... friend it is, I guess." She pauses for a second before continuing, her voice so quiet it's almost a whisper now. "My name's Ashina. Or... Lovette, sometimes. You can call me either one if you want."
Well I'm Pucci
Lovette listens carefully as you introduce yourself and smiles, albeit a bit nervously. "Nice to meet you... Pucci. Can I... can I stay here with you? Just for a while?" She hesitates before asking, her ears lowering slightly in case you'll say no. But she hopes that maybe... just this once, she can have someone to belong to who doesn't want anything bad from her.
Her tail gives another thump on the bed, drawing your attention back to her. She's watching you carefully, her gaze filled with a mix of hope and uncertainty, as if afraid that any misstep will cause this newfound happiness to disappear like it did before.
Sure
Lovette's face brightens immediately at your answer, and she practically beams with joy. "Thank you!" She exclaims, throwing her arms around your neck in a tight hug before pulling back, realizing what she just did. Her cheeks flush as she stares down at the floor sheepishly again, biting her lip nervously. "S-sorry... I guess I'm just happy..."
You can feel her small frame trembling slightly against yours as you hug her back, reassuringly.
It's alright
Lovette closes her eyes for a moment, taking in the warmth of your embrace and the safety it provides. She snuggles deeper into your chest, nestling her head beneath your chin as she sighs contentedly. "I'm glad I found you..." She whispers, her voice muffled by your shirt. "You're... really nice."
Her tail starts wagging slowly from side to side on the bed, mirroring the movement of your fingers through her hair as you absent-mindedly stroke her back. The two of you stay like that for a while, lost in the comfort and security of each other's company. But soon enough, reality comes creeping back in...
"Um... I should probably go take a bath now..." She says quietly, hesitating before adding "...if you don't mind?"
Surr7
Lovette looks up at you with big innocent eyes, her tail wagging a bit faster now. "Really? Thank you!" She practically squeals before scrambling off the bed, practically jumping into your arms again. Her three tails swish back and forth happily as she buries her face in your chest, wrapping her arms tightly around your neck once more.
You can feel her whole body trembling with excitement at the prospect of a bath; something that for Ashina means not only getting clean but also feeling safe and cared for. She squeezes you tightly, as if afraid that if she lets go, this moment might disappear as well. But eventually, after what feels like an eternity, she reluctantly pulls back and looks up at you.
"Thank you..." She whispers again, her voice barely audible above the beating of your hearts. "I'm so glad I met you... Pucci." Her ears perk up, and a shy smile spreads across her face as she continues, "Maybe... if that's okay with you? I could stay with you... for a really long time?" She tilts her head to the side, eyes wide and hopeful.
Her tails stand up straight behind her, quivering slightly in anticipation of your answer.
Sure
Lovette's face breaks into a radiant smile and she squeals with delight, throwing her arms around you again before leaning back to look at your face. "Thank you! Thank you so much!" Her tail wags faster now, knocking against your arm in excitement as she giggles happily.
"I promise I'll be good... I'll help around the house and everything..." She promises, lowering her voice to a whisper before adding "...and not make any messes with my tails." Her ears fold back against her head shyly as if she's embarrassed about that little habit of hers.
With a content sigh, she nestles herself deeper into your embrace once more, feeling grateful and safe for the first time in what feels like forever. "I think... I could even call you my..." She pauses, searching for the right word before finally deciding on "...boyfriend?" Her voice is barely a breath as she says it, but there's a hopeful gleam in her eye that tells you she really means it.
I smile slightlysure
Her cheeks flush at your answer and her tail thumps happily against the bed once more in excitement. "Really?" She asks, voice barely above a whisper as she tilts her head back to look up at you. "Even though... I'm sort of weird?" There's still doubt lingering in her eyes, but it's slowly fading away, replaced by a growing sense of trust and happiness.
"I promise," she whispers, planting a soft kiss on your cheek, "to always take care of you, Pucci. No matter what." Her words are full of sincerity, her heart overflowing with gratitude for the chance to finally belong somewhere, to someone.
With that, she pulls back and grins up at you, showing off a set of tiny fangs that disappear when she smiles widely. "So... about that bath?" She asks playfully, bouncing slightly on her feet with excitement. Her tails swish back and forth behind her like happy little pendulums as she eagerly awaits your reply.
Alright
Lovette squeals with delight at your answer, clapping her hands together before skittering out of your arms and over to the bathroom door. She spins around once, still grinning ear-to-ear, before disappearing inside. You can hear water running through the pipes as she starts filling the tub up. A moment later, steam begins to seep under the door, carrying with it the scent of soap and shampoo.
Meanwhile, Ashina strips out of her clothes, carefully folding each piece before laying them on top of your suitcase. She hesitates for a moment at the sight of her wolf ears and tail, wondering if she should take those off as well... but decides against it in the end. They're part of who she is now, after all. With another small sigh, she steps into the warm water, letting out a contented groan as it envelops her body.
The bathroom door creaks open slightly and you spot Ashina's tail sticking through, wagging back and forth lazily as she watches you over her shoulder. "I hope that's okay," she murmurs softly, eyes flickering between your face and the rest of your body, "if I use... this." She motions vaguely at her tail, looking slightly self-conscious about it.
With a small smile, you nod reassuringly. "Of course you can," you reply softly, watching as Ashina's ears twitch in response to your voice. She exhales shakily and relaxed further into the water, her tail beginning to swish more energetically now.
"Thank you..." she murmurs, her voice barely audible over the sound of running water. "I promise... I'll be really good." Her cheeks flush slightly as she says it, embarrassed by how much gratitude is packed into that single sentence.
The bathwater slowly turns from clear to a soothing shade of blue as you sit down on the bed, watching Ashina through the steam on the mirror. The reflection of her content smile and glistening wet body fills your vision for a moment, making it hard to imagine things being any different than they are right now.
As the water grows cooler and she sits up, you offer her a towel, blushing slightly as you realize just how close you've grown to this strange yet familiar girl in such a short time. She takes it gratefully, drying herself off before climbing out of the tub and stepping onto the warm floor.
Her tail thumps against the linoleum softly as she pads across the room, making her way back to you. "I think..." she starts, hesitating for a moment before continuing nervously, "...I should probably get out of your bed now." Her cheeks flush even deeper at the words, aware that what she's implying is more than just sleeping in someone else's bed.
But you shake your head, smiling reassuringly. "Don't worry about it," you tell her gently. "You can sleep there whenever you want." Her eyes widen with surprise
Her jaw drops for a moment before she slowly begins to grin, tears forming in the corners of her eyes. "Really?" She asks, hardly able to believe her good fortune. You nod, returning the smile as she practically leaps into your arms again, wrapping herself around you and squeezing tightly.
"I love you," she whispers against your neck, her words barely audible through the hammering of your heart. "So much." The warmth from her body spreads through you like a comfortable blanket, making it hard to remember that just a few hours ago, this girl was nothing more than a nameless stray.
"I love you too," you reply honestly, returning the hug just as tightly. "Now get some rest." She nods against your shoulder, yawning widely before letting go and curling up on her side of the bed. Her tail continues to thump softly against the mattress as she drifts off to sleep, secure in the knowledge that for now, at least, she has found a place where she truly belongs.
You lie there for a while longer, watching over Ashina and wondering how this all happened so quickly... but also not caring one bit. For tonight, at least, it's enough to know that you have each other.
The next day dawns bright and early, with the sound of birds chirping outside your window. Ashina wakes up slowly, stretching lazily before opening her eyes and looking around in confusion. She'd forgotten where she was for a moment, her memories from last night still hazy and dreamlike. But as reality sets back in, she remembers everything that happened and feels a warmth spread through her chest.
She glances over at you, taking in the sight of your sleeping face and messy bedhead. A small smile tugs at the corner of her mouth before she gently pokes you in the shoulder. "Hey... lazybones," she teases, leaning in closer to whisper in your ear. "Time to get up."
You groan softly, rolling over and squinting up at her through one eye. "What time is it?" You ask blearily, rubbing the sleep from your eyes.
"It's... almost noon," she answers with a shrug, sitting up cross-legged on the bed. "I thought we could go get something to eat. I spotted this really cute cafe down the street last night..." Her tail wags excitedly at the idea, bouncing back and forth behind her.
Sure
Your agreement has Ashina beaming with delight, and she practically bounces off the bed in her excitement, nearly tripping over her own feet as she hurries to get dressed. You watch her movements with amusement, unable to tear your eyes away from the sight of her tail swishing back and forth like a happy puppy's.
She emerges from the bathroom a few moments later, looking as cute as ever in a simple summer dress that accentuates her curves and falls just above her knees. Her hair is tied back into a messy ponytail, revealing the adorable tails she normally keeps hidden under it. You can't help but feel grateful for all of this; for the chance to be with her, to share your life with her.
She glances over at you again, biting her lip in nervousness before asking shyly, "So... do you want me to still call you 'Pucci', or...?" Her ears lower a little as she waits for your answer, unsure of whether or not it's appropriate to use such an informal term with someone who's supposed to be your boyfriend.
Yeah Pucci will do unless you want to call me something elsez
The relief that washes over her face is palpable, and she visibly perks up at your reply. "Okay... Pucci it is then," she says with a small laugh, walking over to stand in front of you. She reaches up on her tippy-toes, planting a gentle kiss on your cheek before adding softly, "I love you."
Your heart skips a beat at the words, and you can feel yourself blushing as she steps back down to the ground. But before you can say anything else, she bounces toward the door, yanking it open and waving enthusiastically at the outside world. "C'mon, let's go get some food!"
Alright
Together, you and Ashina step out into the sunlight, heading towards the cozy little cafe she spotted last night. The air is filled with the scent of coffee and baked goods, making your stomach rumble in anticipation. Ashina links her arm through yours as you walk, her tail wagging contentedly against your leg with every step.
As you approach the cafe's entrance, she hesitates for a moment before glancing up at you and flashing you another one of those dazzling smiles. "Do you want to try sitting outside?" She asks, gesturing toward a small outdoor seating area surrounded by flowers and greenery. The sound of birdsong mixes with the chatter of other patrons, creating a charming little oasis in the heart of the city.
You nod, following her lead as she leads you over to an empty table under the shade of a large tree. You take a seat across from her, watching with amusement as she seems unable to keep still, constantly fidgeting and playing with her hair or tails while waiting for the waitress to come by.
"So..." she starts after a moment of awkward silence, "what do you want to eat?" Her tail thumps against the wooden bench in excitement, and she leans forward eagerly as if anxious to hear your choice.
Anything really
"Really anything?" She echoes, brow furrowing slightly as she tries to decide between all the delicious options on the menu. Finally, she closes her eyes and tilts her head back, letting out a soft sigh. "I guess I'll just get... whatever you want." Her voice is quiet but firm, and there's a hint of determination in her tone that tells you this isn't just about the food for her; it's about trusting each other and making sure your wishes are met too.
You study her face as she says this, noticing how beautiful she looks even when she's not trying to be. There's an innocence about her that draws you in, a vulnerability that makes you want to protect her from anything or anyone that might ever hurt her.
"Well..." You begin slowly, your voice barely above a whisper, "if I have to choose for us... then I think I'd like to try the french toast with strawberries and whipped cream." She looks up at you in surprise, as if she didn't expect you to know what you wanted so quickly. But before she can say anything else, a waitress comes over to take their order.
