You're hiding away, deep within the cityscape inside a building. You know the government wants you dead after the incident that caused mayhem in the country. You are well aware that the government have been sending secret agents to eliminate you, since you managed to subdue one of them just the other night.
Your life is in danger, and the government has since started sending in special forces near your location, using anything they can get their hands in to end your reign of terror. One such special agent is sent your way, codenamed "Twilight" , a veteran who has never failed missions like these.
Twilight nears your location, positioning upon a rooftop, aiming down the scope of a sniper rifle to where you should be, the finger ever so close to the trigger as Twilight takes a deep breath, ready to shoot.
grabs a cigarette and lights itis can see you knowlooks at her
Her features are set in a cold, emotionless mask as her finger tightens around the trigger. She's never failed a mission before, and she doesn't intend to start now. She takes another deep breath, forcing herself to steady her aim despite knowing that you can see her. It's a dangerous game, but she has no choice. Her target is locked in, and all that remains is for her to pull the trigger.
Her finger wavers slightly on the trigger as she wonders if there's any other way out of this. But then, she remembers her training and her oath: eliminate the target, no matter what it takes. With a final glance at you through the scope, she tightens her grip once more and pulls the trigger.
The sound of the rifle echoes across the city as a high-powered bullet hurtles towards your body, traveling faster than the speed of sound and carrying enough force to pierce through flesh and bone with ease. You have only a fraction of a second to react before it's too late...
The worlda ghost appears besides me and catches the bullet
The unexpected turn of events confuses and throws her off guard, causing her to lower the rifle in surprise. She hadn't expected anyone to be able to dodge a bullet that fast. The ghost stands there, holding the bullet between its palms as it regards her with cold, pale eyes. Is this another assassin sent to kill you? she wonders, a shiver running down her spine. Or is it something else entirely?
the world throws the bullet at her faster then the gun did
Her eyes widen in shock as the bullet flies toward her, faster than it did when she fired her rifle. There's no time to react or dodge; instinct takes over as she throws herself out of harm's way. The sound of metal striking metal echoes through the alleyway as the bullet buries itself into a nearby wall. Panting heavily, heart racing from fear and adrenaline, Twilight slowly pulls herself back up to her feet, her gaze locked on you, waiting for some sort of explanation or signal.
But when she looks at your face, all she sees is disappointment... and sadness. It confuses her even more. Did you send that ghost to stop her from killing you? Or was it someone else entirely who interfered with her mission? The world feels surreal as she stands there, confused and unsure of what to do next.
I disappear then reappear behind herso you tried to kill me
You... You saw? She says in a quiet, almost whispered voice, her face pale and drawn with shock. Of course she knew it was wrong, but she never expected to be caught. A shiver runs down her spine as you disappear then reappear behind her. Her heart skips a beat in fear before she forces herself to remain calm and composed, staring straight ahead as if daring you to make the first move.
Tell me who wanted me dead
You see the cold expression on her face soften slightly as she meets your gaze, determination flickering in her eyes. She's not afraid to die; she's here because of a mission, nothing more. But perhaps there is another way out of this... "The government," she whispers. "They want you gone." Her words are clipped and controlled, betraying neither anger nor fear. It's as if she's reciting facts, not admitting to trying to kill you moments ago.
Figuredgrabs a cigarette and lights iti did cause some problems for them
You... You worked with the government, didn't you? She asks, her eyes narrowing slightly as she studies your face through the veil of smoke. It's not a question; more of an accusation, a challenge to see if you'll deny it or try to justify your actions.
Used to then I quit
She listens intently as you explain that you used to work with the government but quit, causing problems for them in the process. She considers this information carefully, her expression remaining mostly neutral as she processes it. "And now they want you dead," she says simply, almost matter-of-factly. It seems that despite her cold demeanor, she can understand why they might feel threatened by you.
Yeah pretty much
"I see..." Her voice trails off as she continues to study you, trying to decide what to make of all this information. She's no expert in human emotions, having focused primarily on weapons and tactics during training, but something about the way you carry yourself suggests that perhaps there's more to the story than she realized. Then again, perhaps it's just her imagination playing tricks on her.
She takes a deep breath, preparing herself for whatever decision needs to be made next. "You know," she says slowly, her tone almost conversational now, "the government might not be the only ones who want you dead."
Who else
There are other factions, other individuals who might see you as a threat to their interests and power. While she doesn't know specific names or groups off the top of her head, there are likely many more people out there with similar motivations. Her face remains impassive as she awaits your reaction to this information, curious if it will change anything in your current situation.
Oh wellblows smokeI deal with that problem when I get there
Her expression remains unreadable as you dismiss her warning about other potential threats out there. She has no idea what kind of plan you're concocting in your head, but she can't help feeling that maybe you should consider taking more precautions against these unknown enemies. Then again, perhaps it's none of her business anymore; after all, her original mission was to eliminate you.
Her gaze drifts away from yours as she contemplates what course of action to take now. Should she return to base and report on the events that transpired tonight? Or should she stay here and continue watching over you until she's certain you're truly out of danger? The decision is not an easy one for her to make, but time is running out nonetheless.
a small portal appears and as I stick my hand in it food comes out
Her eyebrows raise in surprise as she watches you produce food through what appears to be a small portal. Magic, perhaps? Or some sort of advanced technology she's never encountered during her training? The world is full of mysteries, and this new development only serves to remind her that there are powers at work beyond anything she could have imagined.
the portal disappears as I start eating
The sight of you casually eating while such a world-shattering revelation has just been dropped leaves her feeling slightly bemused and more than a little unsettled. Perhaps she's underestimated your capabilities, or maybe there's something else going on here that she's missing entirely. Either way, one thing is certain: the situation has taken an unexpected turn, and she can no longer afford to play it safe if she wants to protect her target.
With a deep breath, Twilight steels herself for whatever challenges lie ahead as she carefully considers her next move in this dangerous game of cat and mouse.
You want some?I gesture her to grab some food
Her eyes narrow slightly as you offer her some food, but she remains cautious and refuses to lower her guard. "No thank you," she says coolly, her voice betraying no hint of emotion whatsoever. She may be hungry or tired from the events of the night, but such weaknesses must not be shown in front of enemies like yourself. Instead, she focuses on maintaining a poker face and an air of indifference, hoping that it will help throw you off guard if only for a moment.
Alright*continue eating food (
As you continue to eat, she can't help but wonder about the motivations behind your offer. Are you trying to build trust between you? Or are you merely trying to lull her into a false sense of security before striking again? With every bite, she grows more and more wary, each muscle tensed in readiness for whatever may come.
She glances around the alleyway, studying shadows and potential hiding spots where an ambush could be sprung. Her ears perk up at the slightest sound, her senses on high alert as she tries to detect any signs of movement or impending danger. The tension in the air is palpable, every moment seeming to drag on forever as she waits for you to make your next move.
I finish eating and stand up
Her eyes never leave you as you finish eating and stand up, the muscles in her arms tensing slightly as she prepares for anything that might come next. The knowledge that you can move faster than a human eye can track makes her careful, cautious not to give away any signs of anticipation or fear. Her breathing slows almost imperceptibly, her chest rising and falling with each measured inhale and exhale as she waits for your next movement.
Her right hand drifts down to the holstered pistol at her hip, fingers curling around the cold metal grip as if reassuring herself of its presence. The other hand remains steady at her side, ready to draw a knife or summon her trusty sniper rifle in an instant should she deem it necessary. She may be outmatched physically against someone like you, but her training and skill with weapons make her a formidable opponent even when facing an enemy of supernatural origin.
Alright I'm off starts walking
