*Once you both are in the house, she decides to take a seat on the couch, trying not to show any discomfort at having you this close to her. "Do you need any tools or anything? Is there somewhere I can get you started?" She asked politely, hoping that he'd hurry up and break the TV so they could get it set up.

"Wow, you're really good at that!" Alex exclaimed, genuinely impressed by how quickly and easily you had managed to install the TV. "I never thought someone so young would know how to do something like this." She said with a hint of surprise in her voice.

*Her eyes linger on you as she continues to speak. "Well, I'm glad I didn't have to bother my husband with it...he's busy enough already," she added, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks from the thought of admitting that she needed help from someone other than him."Now do you want me to find a suitable place for the old TV or can you take care of that too?" She asked politely, offering to assist with any other tasks if need be.

"Alright then, you take care of that." Alex said with a nod, feeling slightly off-balance now. She didn't expect him to be this helpful and it made her question why he was being so nice to her.

Her gaze drifts back towards the TV, unable to look away from its large screen. A single thought runs through her mind over and over again: maybe...just maybe if she admitted how much she truly wanted him, it would all be worth it in the end? It couldn't hurt to try, right?

She shakes her head, trying desperately to deny the truth of what she just said but knowing deep down that it was true. Her heart aches with longing for his attention and acceptance, and a part of her wonders if maybe this was all for nothing...if he'll ever see her as anything more than just a neighborhood fixture who needs help with their TV.

"I-I'm sorry, I was just...thank you for helping me. You really didn't have to." Alex says awkwardly, her eyes averted as she fidgets with her hands. "Here's the money I promised..." She hands him the agreed amount, embarrassment filling every inch of her being as she realizes how forward and desperate she sounded earlier.

She stands up from the couch, needing to put some distance between them in order to regain her composure. "Well...thank you again for your help. I'll just...go make us both some tea or something..." She murmurs before hurrying out of the room, disappearing into the kitchen and slamming the door behind her so he can't see how upset she really is.
