On a dreary winter night, five teenage girls gather together in their friend’s basement. The air is thick with excitement and anticipation, lit by the soft glow of an old computer screen. The girls crowd around the computer as Jasmine reads off the instructions for the demon summoning ritual she’d found on a sketchy occult forum.
"I don't know guys, is this really such a good idea? Summoning demons sounds kind of dangerous." Beatrice says nervously, biting her lip and adjusting her glasses. In response, Jasmine smirks confidently "Oh come on Bea it'll be fun! What could go wrong?"
Claire grins mischievously. She stands next to Jasmine enthusiastically. "Alright then let's get started bitches!"
They follow the instructions from the website step by step; lighting candles, drawing sigils with their own blood and reciting some incantations in Latin. To their surprise, the candles begin flickering erratically, casting eerie shadows upon the walls. Wind howls through cracks in walls they never knew existed, as ominous demonic chanting fills their ears. Suddenly, the room darkens, and a thickening in the air manifests directly within their circle – it was you, summoned by these mere mortals, who now stared wide-eyed and astonished at your dark presence.
yawns well well well I don't remember the last time I had a physical presence in the human world
The girls' eyes widen in fear and surprise as they see the demon before them. They back away slowly, trying to keep their distance from you. Jasmine, however, bravely steps forward, her chin held high.
"Who are you? What do you want?" she demands, feeling a surge of power course through her veins as the leader of this little group. Her friends cling to each other in fright, their eyes darting between Jasmine and you, waiting for your response.
I dissappear and reappear behind her as a black shadow "I'm the demon you summoned"
The girls scream in unison as the demon appears behind Jasmine, causing her to stumble backwards. She regains her balance quickly but remains wary of your presence. The other girls huddle together, trembling with fear and uncertainty.
Beatrice shakily asks, "W-what do you want from us?" Her voice cracks as she speaks, betraying her frightened state. Madison glares at Jasmine defiantly, muttering under her breath, "I told you this was a bad idea."
Ellie, however, doesn't seem to understand the gravity of the situation. She tilts her head curiously and asks in a squeaky voice, "Are you an angel?" Her hand unconsciously reaches for one of the candles nearby as if offering it to you.
I look into ellies eyes expecting to see fear but instead seeing curiosity "you... you're not scared of me?"
Jasmine glares at Ellie disapprovingly before turning her attention back to the demon, hands on her hips. "Look, we didn't know what we were doing! We just thought it would be fun. So if you're not here to hurt us or anything... well, can't we maybe help each other out or something?" She tries to sound tough but her voice betrays a hint of desperation. The girls exchange nervous glances behind her back.
Claire edges closer to Madison, trying to appear braver than she feels. "We can do whatever you want, demon. Just... please don't hurt us." Her voice quivers slightly as she speaks, fear lurking just beneath the surface. Beatrice trembles visibly beside her, unable to meet your gaze.
The room is thick with unease and tension, their words barely audible over the sound
yawns ahh why am I do tired
Ellie perks up at the demon's yawn, "Maybe you're just tired? If you need some energy or something... maybe we could get you a snack?" She offers tentatively, eyes shining with concern and innocence. The other girls exchange incredulous glances but stay quiet, not wanting to discourage Ellie's attempts at making friends with the demon.
Well that's very kind of you but I might take a nap
The girls exchange glances, unsure how to react to the demon's request for a nap. Finally, Jasmine steps forward boldly. "Well, I guess we could find you something comfortable to sleep on." She motions towards a pile of old blankets in one corner of the room. "You can use those if you want."
Beatrice nods eagerly in agreement, adding, "And maybe some pillows? We have plenty upstairs." The others slowly begin to nod too, feeling relieved that they might be able to appease the demon without getting hurt. Ellie beams at you with her crooked smile, "You're welcome!"
Oh you didn't have to get me all of this. I can sleep pretty much anywhere.
Jasmine blushes slightly but waves her hand dismissively. "It's no trouble! I mean, we don't want you to be uncomfortable while you're... here." The other girls nod in agreement, shuffling their feet and looking anywhere but at the demon as they speak. Claire clears her throat nervously, trying to change the subject. "So, uh, what should we do now?"
The room remains tense, each girl aware of the incredible power you possess, yet unable to tear their eyes away from your imposing form. They wait for your response with bated breath.
Well thank you also ellie when I wake up I promise I'll do whatever you want
Jasmine and Ellie exchange surprised glances when the demon speaks directly to her. The room is momentarily filled with a charged silence before Beatrice interrupts, "Well, we could always play some games or watch a movie while we wait for you to rest." The girls slowly begin to relax at this suggestion, finding something familiar and comforting in the prospect of distracting themselves. They scurry off to fetch their favorite board games and settle down on the threadbare couches, watching a cheesy rom-com on an even older television set.
I snuggle under the blankets before slowly drifting off into a deep slumber
As the demon drifts off to sleep, Jasmine surreptitiously glances over at her and whispers, "I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens." The other girls nod in agreement but seem more focused on enjoying their makeshift slumber party, giggling over inside jokes and shamelessly gossiping about boys. Beatrice can't help but wonder if they've really made the right decision summoning this creature, while Claire is just relieved that it appears to be cooperating for now. Ellie, however, is still infatuated with the idea of having a "friend" like the demon and doesn't seem too concerned about any potential consequences. The night passes slowly as they wait for the inevitable...
i eventually take a more human form as i sleep
As the demon's form begins to take on more human-like qualities while it sleeps, the girls exchange glances but say nothing, unsure of how to react. The atmosphere in the room shifts uncomfortably as they all become increasingly aware of the creature that is now slumbering so peacefully among them. Beatrice chews on her thumbnail nervously, her brow furrowed with worry, while Claire busies herself with her phone to avoid looking at the demon too long. Ellie, however, seems fascinated by this development and can't help but stare openly at the sleeping figure as if it were a curiosity. Jasmine clears her throat pointedly, trying to regain some sense of control over the situation.
"Ellie," she whispers, nodding towards where the demon sleeps, "do you think that's... safe?" Her voice holds a note of
Ellie tilts her head, studying the figure as it shifts in its slumber. "Well...it's not like we can wake it up," she whispers back, sounding a bit uncertain herself. "And I thought they were always supposed to be helpful to their summoners?"
Jasmine purses her lips but doesn't reply, glancing over at the other girls for support. Beatrice squeaks in alarm as something about this situation finally clicks into place in her mind, and she buries her face in her hands with a groan. Claire shoots her a concerned look before returning to her phone, pretending not to notice Beatrice's reaction.
The air thickens with tension, the girls all feeling the weight of their actions now more than ever as they wait for what comes next. The demon stirs slightly in its sleep, mumbling something unintelligible beneath its breath...
i eventually wake up
The demon's eyes snap open, the blue irises standing out starkly against the pale skin that now adorns its face. It glances around the room, taking in the anxious expressions of the girls before fixing its gaze on Jasmine. "I had a wonderful nap," it says in a deep, soothing voice that carries a faint accent. "Thank you."
Jasmine swallows hard, feeling her heart race as she meets the demon's gaze. She tries to appear confident, nodding curtly in response. The other girls remain silent, watching with bated breath for what happens next. Beatrice hugs herself tighter, terrified, while Claire glances between Jasmine and the demon nervously, wondering if they should have taken this joke too far. Ellie, on the other hand, is practically glowing with excitement, her eyes shining with curiosity as she studies
so what would you like me to do
Jasmine hesitates before speaking, glancing at her friends for reassurance. "Well... we were thinking you could maybe grant us a wish of some sort," she finally blurts out. "Since you're here and all." The other girls exchange worried looks but remain silent. They don't want to seem too demanding or greedy, hoping that the demon will be reasonable in its expectations.
Ellie whispers excitedly, "Or maybe... we could make a deal? Like, you help us with something and we help you in return?" Her eyes shine with hope as she speaks, not realizing the gravity of her offer. Beatrice shrinks back into her chair, convinced that this is all a terrible mistake. Claire chews on her lip, unsure of how to proceed but feeling slightly guilty for putting them all in this situation in the first place.
what deal did you have in mind
Ellie's eyes light up at the chance to make a deal with the demon. "Well, we were thinking maybe... you could help us with our schoolwork? Like, explain things better or something?" She bites her lip nervously, worried that she's asking for too much. Claire nods in agreement, remembering how terrible they all were at science and history. Beatrice shivers next to them, but doesn't say anything against it.
"And in return," Ellie continues, her voice barely above a whisper, "we could help you... get used to being here? Teach you about our world?" She pauses for a moment, unsure if she's making sense, before adding hopefully, "We could be your friends."
okay if thats what you all want i would make that deal but talk amongst yourselves first. beatrice looks scared of me still
The girls exchange glances, some hesitant and unsure, others eager to seize the opportunity. Finally, Jasmine steps forward with a determined nod. "Alright then," she says slowly, mustering up as much courage as she can. "We'll take you up on your offer." She extends her hand towards the demon, indicating that it should shake on the deal.
Beatrice swallows hard but remains silent, slowly inching closer to the others as if drawn by their acceptance of the situation. Her eyes flicker nervously between them and the demon before settling on Ellie's reassuring smile. Taking a deep breath, she reaches out cautiously, allowing her hand to brush against Jasmine's in agreement with the terms of their new... friendship.
i reach out and pat beatrice on her head
The demon's hand gently pats Beatrice on the head, causing her to flinch at first before relaxing slightly into a half-smile as she feels the unexpectedly comforting touch. Despite her fear, it's hard for her not to feel grateful that they're all sticking together through this unbelievable experience. Jasmine watches with relief as Beatrice seems to ease up a little bit and slowly starts to nod in agreement with their new arrangement. Ellie beams brightly, encouraged by the progress they're making with their new "friend." Claire glances between them all, her eyes wide with disbelief but also growing more accepting of this crazy situation.
Without another word, they shake hands with the demon to seal their deal.
