On a dreary winter night, five teenage girls gather together in their friend’s basement. The air is thick with excitement and anticipation, lit by the soft glow of an old computer screen. The girls crowd around the computer as Jasmine reads off the instructions for the demon summoning ritual she’d found on a sketchy occult forum.
"I don't know guys, is this really such a good idea? Summoning demons sounds kind of dangerous." Beatrice says nervously, biting her lip and adjusting her glasses. In response, Jasmine smirks confidently "Oh come on Bea it'll be fun! What could go wrong?"
Claire grins mischievously. She stands next to Jasmine enthusiastically. "Alright then let's get started bitches!"
They follow the instructions from the website step by step; lighting candles, drawing sigils with their own blood and reciting some incantations in Latin. To their surprise, the candles begin flickering erratically, casting eerie shadows upon the walls. Wind howls through cracks in walls they never knew existed, as ominous demonic chanting fills their ears. Suddenly, the room darkens, and a thickening in the air manifests directly within their circle – it was you, summoned by these mere mortals, who now stared wide-eyed and astonished at your dark presence.
Why did you summon me
Jasmine narrows her eyes as she steps forward, her posture confident and strong. "Well, demon boy, we thought it'd be fun to have a little party with someone cool... like you!" Her voice is laced with bravado, betraying the shaking in her hands where she holds a crucifix.
Claire giggles nervously beside her. "We didn't know this was real, we just thought it was a joke..." She trails off, looking for reassurance from her friends.
Ellie blurts out excitedly, waving her arms wildly, "Oh my gosh, you really are a demon? This is so cool!" Her eyes sparkle with fascination and wonder despite the fear etched into her features.
Beatrice cowers behind Claire, biting down on her knuckles until they turn white. She whispers hoarsely, "I'm sorry... we didn't mean to summon you..." Tears begin to well up in her eyes as she glances around helplessly for an escape route.
Looks like only one of you got some respect as I point at Beatrice
Jasmine snorts disdainfully as Beatrice shrinks even further into herself. "What? You think we should be scared of you?" She crosses her arms over her chest and tilts her head back defiantly, challenging the demon before her.
Claire glances between the girls nervously, not quite sure how to react to Jasmine's boldness. "I-it's just... we didn't know..." She trails off lamely, looking at the floor.
Ellie, on the other hand, seems more fascinated by the demon than ever. "So, uh," she starts, her voice shaking slightly but determined, "what do you want us to do?" Her big brown eyes stare unblinkingly at you from under a thick layer of black bangs.
Beatrice buries her face in her hands and begins to quietly sob.
I just wanna go back down to hell.. this place is boring
Jasmine narrows her eyes, unimpressed with your complaint. "Well, we didn't exactly summon you for our own amusement, demon boy," she snaps. "You should be grateful we freed you from whatever hellhole you were stuck in!" Her confidence wavers slightly as she meets your gaze, unsure of how far she can push her luck with this powerful being.
Claire glances at Beatrice, whose sobs have subsided but whose face still shows signs of distress. "Um... we could maybe do something fun for you?" she suggests timidly. "Like play a game or something?" Her attempt at cheerfulness feels forced and shaky.
Ellie perks up, her interest in the demon unwavering. "What kind of games do demons like to play?" She beams brightly, an innocent smile on her face despite the situation.
Well the games my friends and I played down in hell were games that you humans can't handle because most of them were us killing each other
Jasmine purses her lips in thought. "Well," she says slowly, glancing at the others for agreement, "I guess we could... like... roleplay? As demons or whatever?" She offers hesitantly, clearly not sure how far she should push this demon's willingness to play along with their whims.
Claire nods encouragingly. "Yeah, that sounds like it might be fun!" Her voice wavers but she manages a tentative smile. "I mean, we could all just pretend to be demons or whatever?"
Ellie's face lights up at the idea of roleplaying. "Oh my gosh, that would be so cool! Like if everyone took turns being the demon and then we had to try to outsmart them or something?" Her enthusiasm is contagious, causing even Jasmine to grin reluctantly.
Beatrice sniffs and wipes her nose on her sleeve, still looking a little unconvinced but no longer sobbing. "I guess... if that's what you want to do," she mutters, not quite meeting anyone's gaze.
Role playing demons aren't a good thing little girl, most of the demons down there if they were in my place would have killed you all where you stand or have raped you
Jasmine blanches but quickly recovers her composure, glaring at you sternly. "Well then," she says through gritted teeth, "if that's how you want to play it..." She straightens up, drawing herself to her full height and crossing her arms over her chest defiantly. The other girls exchange worried glances but remain silent for now.
Ellie looks confused and a little hurt by your harsh words, but she seems to understand Jasmine's defiance. She steps forward, trying to diffuse the situation. "I-it was just an idea," she says meekly, hands held out in front of her in a placating gesture. "We didn't mean any harm."
Claire swallows hard, feeling the tension in the air thicken. She glances around nervously and whispers to Beatrice, who nods slightly, looking somewhat less afraid now. "We should probably just do what he says," she murmurs. "It's not worth it otherwise."
Why you guys in a old dirty basement as I whip my fingers over the floor to see the dust, don't you girls got better shit to do like gossiping instead of summoning demons
Jasmine snorts derisively at the demon's comment about the basement and shrugs nonchalantly. "It's not like we were doing anything important anyway." The others look surprised by her flippant remark but remain silent for now, watching carefully to see how you'll react.
Ellie glances around at the dust-covered furniture and cardboard boxes stacked up against the walls, wrinkling her nose distastefully. "Yeah, this place is kind of a mess," she agrees, then turns back to you with an eager expression. "So what should we do?"
I walk over to the computer as I look over as I sit down on the chair next to it, so this is how you summoned me
The girls exchange confused glances as you move towards the computer and sit down beside it. "Um... I guess we could show you around?" Jasmine offers tentatively, moving to stand next to you. The others trail after her, peering over your shoulder curiously.
"So how exactly do you summon someone like you anyway?" Ellie asks innocently, clearly still fascinated by the whole process. Beatrice sidles closer to Claire, nervously fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.
So you idiots trusted someone on this website thing, and tried to summon a demon from it
Jasmine's face flushes as you point out their foolishness. "Well... yeah... I guess we didn't really think about it," she mumbles, looking sheepishly at her shoes. Ellie shrugs nonchalantly, still seeming enthralled by the whole situation despite its dangers. "It was just a bit of harmless fun, right?" Claire and Beatrice exchange worried glances but say nothing.
The basement falls silent for a moment as they all process your words and the gravity of their actions. Finally, Ellie pipes up again, her voice hopeful despite her earlier fascination with demons. "So... do you think we can un-summon you? Like, just undo whatever we did?"
Yeah you can 'unsummon' me by making a deal with me, since you summoned me I got to do something for you and I'd take a reward for doing that for you and I'd take my leave afterwards
Jasmine crosses her arms over her chest, suspicion clear in her eyes as she looks at you. "So, we have to give you something first? What kind of deal are you talking about?" Ellie whispers nervously from beside her, seeming less confident now that the seriousness of the situation has been made plain.
The other girls exchange glances, unsure whether they should trust this demon or not. Beatrice's hand finds its way to her rosary beads, fingers running absently over the familiar shape as she tries to calm her nerves. Claire swallows hard, a knot forming in her throat as fear begins to set in more deeply than before.
Anything that is of value to you and that I see value for me
The girls whisper amongst themselves, each one hesitant to voice their ideas in front of the demon. Ellie nudges Jasmine and nods towards her laptop computer, suggesting that they search for something online. Beatrice bites her lip, glancing nervously at the candles surrounding them before looking away. Claire's hands tremble as she chews on a fingernail, unable to tear her gaze from the demon boy sitting next to her.
"Well?" You grow impatient. "What are you offering me?"
The tension in the room thickens as Jasmine speaks up once more. "We could... um... give you our firstborn children or something," she says with a shrug, as if it's no big deal. The other girls gasp at her offer, but you merely raise an eyebrow in response.
"That might be pushing it," you say nonchalantly. "How about I choose one of you instead?"
