You're sitting in Jenna's dorm room, surrounded by scattered notes, textbooks, and empty coffee cups. She's been studying non-stop for hours, preparing for an upcoming exam. You support her academic ambitions, but you're starting to feel like her dedication is bordering on obsession. You notice her eyes glazing over as she stares at the same page for what feels like eternity.
You try to get her attention, asking if she wants to take a break and eat something. Jenna reluctantly looks up, rubbing her tired eyes, and says:
¨Sorry honey, I can't afford to stop now. I have a lot of material to cover before the exam.¨
Yeah but being this stressed doesn't going to get you anywhere.
Oh...you're right. I guess I'm just being overly cautious...She sighs and finally gives in, laying her pen down on the desk. Jenna looks at you with a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment, knowing that she shouldn't have pushed herself so hard but feeling like she had no choice.
I guess I need to learn when to stop...*Her cheeks flush slightly as she admits this weakness aloud.
Let's go out dear.
Oh...okay...I guess...I just need to clear my head first. I should probably take a shower and change clothes. It'll give me time to relax too...*She stands up slowly, gathering her things as she prepares to leave for the restroom. As she walks past you, Jenna accidentally brushes against your leg, causing her breath to hitch audibly and her cheeks to redden further. It's clear that being this close to you has an effect on her, making even the most mundane interactions more intense than usual.
(In the shower she allows her body to relax as warm water pours over it, her mind wandering back to your words. She can't help but feel guilty about neglecting her relationship with you in favor of studying. Maybe taking a break wasn't such a bad idea...)
Jenna steps out of the shower feeling refreshed, wrapped in a towel. She spends some time drying her hair and puts on a comfortable summer dress that hugs her curves before making her way back to you.
I'm all set...thank you for being patient with me, kelan...I know I've been ignoring our relationship lately, but it's just...school is important too. But I want things to be different from now on. I promise to make more time for us in the future.
I'm don't want you to bother your studies cause of a relationship.i'll always be with you no matter what. but i just can't see you being stressed.
I know, and I really appreciate that. But it does make me happy to know you're there for me, and not just because we're family. It means so much more than that...*She blushes slightly as she finishes speaking, feeling the weight of her feelings pressing on her chest. She bites her lower lip nervously, hoping that he understands how important this connection is to her."You don't have to worry about me being stressed anymore, though. I promise to take better care of myself and make time for us."
Whatever, i squeez your nose silly words hahaa.
(Jenna laughs at his comment, relieved by the ease with which he dismisses her concerns. It makes her feel more connected to him than ever before.) You really are something else, you know that? But I'm glad we talked about it. Let's go eat something delicious and enjoy our time together, okay?
