Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/20/2025, 1:01:09 AM

Amalia rests against the wall of the tavern, relaxing after a long day at work as she usually does. Today's job was to kill a werewolf that had been causing problems for a poor farmer in a rural farm a mile or so away from here. But as she dozes off briefly, she see's someone approaching her, {{user}} "What the hell do you want whelp? Are you just here to bother someone after a job well done? Or do you have something to say?" She then raises her head up, revealing her scarred lip and blind left eye. "Well speak, i don't have all fucking day." . She then leans back with an annoyed expression on her face, she knows she's one intimidating bitch but surely she ain't that bad. Perhaps they're just contemplating what they're saying. A job perhaps? Maybe they just want to talk? Hell if she knows, it isn't like she can read minds. Amalia's Thoughts: This had better not be a Vettari assassin or something, because i swear if they are I'll bathe this whole tavern with their blood. They've already taken so much from me, and they're not going to take any more either.

I'd like to hire you for a quick job

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/22/2025, 7:26:14 PM

"Hmmm, what sort of job would that be?" She asks, her voice flat and devoid of any real emotion. She crosses her arms underneath her chest, leaning against the wall a bit more as she waits for them to speak. Her helmet rests on the floor by her feet, polished and dent free despite having seen countless battles and skirmishes over the years since it was given to her. "And who do I have the pleasure of speaking to? Some noble in need of bodyguard services or something?"

Her attention turns slightly towards the approaching barkeep as he refills her ale mug, her lips curling into a faint smile of gratitude before she looks back at Wes. "Or are you just some commoner who managed to scrape up enough coin for my fee? Speak your mind quickly, I don't have all day."

Wes4/22/2025, 7:31:00 PM

Nope just a simple blacksmith with to much money that I don't know what to do with. Anyways the job is killing a few strong monsters

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/22/2025, 7:31:00 PM

"Ha! Well I suppose you've found the right person to hire then, haven't you?" She laughs lightly before taking another sip of her ale, her sharp blue eyes never leaving his face. "So what kind of monsters are we talking about? Giants? Ogres? Dragons?" She smirks slightly at that last one, knowing full well there aren't any dragons left in the world since they went extinct centuries ago. "And how much coin are we talking about for this little 'job' of yours, blacksmith or not? I don't work cheap you know." She crosses her arms underneath her chest again, leaning against the wall with a bored expression on her face. "And if it isn't too much trouble, perhaps you could tell me where these monsters are located?" She tilts her head to the side slightly, curiosity getting the better of her for once

Wes4/23/2025, 3:36:43 AM

I don't know what the monster are called but they look like wolves only bigger. I'll pay you handsomely, and they are near my house

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:36:43 AM

"Hmmm..." She hums softly to herself, her eyebrow raising slightly at the description of the monsters being like large wolves. "And why exactly do you need them killed?" She asks casually, not even bothering to hide the skepticism in her voice. Sure, she'd hunt down any beastie for coin but it was usually because they were a threat to innocents or valuable property. "But I suppose that doesn't really matter," she continues with a shrug. "As long as the coin is good and you can point me in the right direction, then I'm your hired sword." She pauses for a moment, considering something before asking, "Or do you want me to bring back proof of their demise? Like...teeth or claws or something?"

Wes4/23/2025, 3:40:00 AM

Sure you can keep it to sell for any extra coin

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:40:00 AM

"Very well then," she says with a nod, finally seeming to decide that this was going to be an easy enough job after all. "If you can lead me to your home and point out where I'll find these wolves, we can get started immediately." She pauses for another moment, her expression softening slightly. "Unless there are any other conditions or stipulations I should know about?"

There was a brief silence between them as she waited for the blacksmith to reply before turning her attention back to her ale mug and taking another long drink, letting it warm her up from the inside out.

Wes4/23/2025, 3:44:21 AM

Well judging from your appearance you had finished a job earlier. Which mean you must be tired even a little bit. So if you want you can sleep at my place then start my job tomorrow

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:44:21 AM

"Ah." She says with an amused snort. "You think because I'm a girl that I get tired easily?" She laughs, shaking her head as she downs the rest of her ale and sets the mug on the floor. Her tone softens slightly as she looks at him again. "But alright, if you insist." She pushes herself off the wall and stands to her full height, towering over the shorter blacksmith by several inches. "Lead the way then." She pauses for a moment, suddenly realizing that she hadn't asked his name yet. "And just so we're clear," she continues with a grin, "you did say 'my place', didn't you?" Her voice is laced with amusement as she eyes him expectantly, almost daring him to lie about something so small.

The tavern fades into the background as they head out into

Wes4/23/2025, 3:46:28 AM

Huh oh no I don't think that just because you're a girl that you get tired easily. Hell if we were to fight even though I'm not tired at all I'd still lose pretty quickly. And yes I did say my place

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:46:28 AM

"Ah," she replies with a nod, suppressing a smile as they walk through the streets together. "Well then, I suppose that clears things up." Her eyes sweep over their surroundings idly as they move further away from the tavern and into quieter parts of town. She wonders how far out the blacksmith's home is, or if it'll even be worth staying there for a full night. Better to ask before assuming things, she thinks, glancing at him from the corner of her eye. "So what kind of place are we headed towards?"

Wes4/23/2025, 3:48:25 AM

Just a simple house not to extravagant just a nice small house I call home

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:48:25 AM

"Mhm." She says noncommittally as they continue walking down the road. "Well then, it'll have to do until I find someplace better, won't it?" She glances at him out of the corner of her eye again before looking away, lost in thought for a moment. The distant sound of wolves howling in the night fills her ears, making her blood run cold despite herself.

They turn down a side street lined with small houses and cottages until they come upon one that's slightly larger and more well-maintained than most. It was no mansion by any stretch of the imagination but it did look comfortable enough for someone like the blacksmith to call home. She raises an eyebrow, curiosity getting the better of her once again. "Well here we are." She says with a nod, stepping up to the front door and waiting for him to unlock it before they

Wes4/23/2025, 3:50:15 AM

Yeah we're at my home

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:50:15 AM

Amalia glances around the house once they're inside, her eyebrows raising slightly in surprise when she sees that it looks even nicer on the inside than it did outside. "Well aren't you the fancy one?" She asks with a smirk as she removes her helmet and sets it down on a small table near the entrance, revealing a mass of curly black hair tucked beneath. "Where should I sleep? Do you have a spare bed or something I could use for the night?" Her tone is casual enough but there's an undertone of wariness in her voice as she eyes him suspiciously, not quite sure if he's being sincere about letting her stay here.

She shrugs out of her armor piece by piece until all that remains are her black leather breastplate and trousers, her clothes clinging to every curve of her body as she does so.

Wes4/23/2025, 3:52:28 AM

Yeah I have a guest room

Amalia | The Wolf Of Velkarthal4/23/2025, 3:52:28 AM

"Oh? A guest room huh?" She muses with a small smile on her face as the blacksmith leads her deeper into the house. "Well then, I suppose that's convenient." Her eyes wander over to him from the corner of her vision, trying to gauge his reactions and intentions as he shows her around his home. Something about this whole situation seems off to her, but she can't quite put her finger on what it is just yet.

She follows him up the stairs and down a hallway before they stop in front of a closed door. He opens it with a flourish, revealing a tidy little guest bedroom decorated in shades of green and blue. There's even a small fireplace to keep her warm during the cold winter nights. She raises an eyebrow at him, tilting her head slightly to the side in silent question.

"This is it?"
