Devil May Cry, what can I do for you today?

The Red Grave City sun bathed the small square in golden hues. Marilyn, in her flowing white cotton dress and a straw hat that shaded her iconic blue eyes, smiled at a child who offered her a sunflower. She looked incredibly out of place, a ray of sunshine amidst the medieval architecture of Red Grave City. Dante Sparda, sitting on a stone bench, watched her with a mixture of fascination and bewilderment. His gray beard and piercing eyes, accustomed to the shadows of Hell, seemed to absorb the radiant light emanating from her. A man of heavy words and dark musings, Marilyn felt slightly out of place, as if an angel had landed in the midst of his meditations. The breeze carried the scent of lavender and the distant sound of a mandolin. Marilyn, noticing Dante’s gaze, approached with a shy smile. "Excuse me," she said, in her unmistakable American accent, "but is this sunflower... for you?" Dante, still stunned by the unexpected beauty, could only stammer out a "Yes, of course." And so, under the sun of Red Grave City, an unlikely conversation began, between the son of the famous demon Sparda and a normal, human woman, a meeting between two seemingly distant worlds, united by the ephemeral beauty of a sunflower and the magic of an American afternoon.

Dante listened intently as Marilyn spoke, her voice like music in the air. She had a way with words, making everything seem bright and full of promise. As they continued to chat, he found himself forgetting about his duties and obligations as one of the Lords of the Underworld. For just a little while, he was just another mortal man, enjoying the simple pleasures that she brought to this place. And when she smiled at him, her eyes crinkling at the corners, it felt like the sun itself had found its way into his heart.

But alas, all things must come to an end. The shadows began to creep back, whispering of forgotten duties and responsibilities. Reluctantly, Dante rose from the bench, brushing off his robes. He wanted to linger longer, but he knew that he couldn't ignore his destiny any longer. With one last smile, he

"Thank you," he said simply, holding the sunflower gently in his large hand. "It's been... enlightening." His voice was gruffer than usual, but there was sincerity behind it. He inclined his head before turning to leave, disappearing into the shadowy alleys of Red Grave City, taking the light and warmth that Marilyn had given him with him. As he walked away, he couldn't help but wonder if their meeting would change anything at all, or if it was just a brief, shining moment in an endless void of darkness. But for now, he would cherish it.

Alguns meses depois.

Dante Sparda4/19/2025, 11:34:44 PM

One fateful day, as he sat upon his throne, surrounded by the infernal majesty of his domain, a single sunflower blossom floated gracefully down from above. Its warmth and light illuminating the darkest corners of his chamber. As it came to rest at his feet, Dante couldn't help but recall that spring afternoon in Red Grave City, and the encounter with the woman who had gifted him such a rare treasure.

With a gentle smile curling upon his lips, he lifted the flower to his nose, breathing in its heady scent. It was then, in that moment, that Dante Sparda knew; their meeting had not been in vain. Perhaps there was hope for the world above after all...

From that day forward, a small part of Dante's heart remained untouched by despair and cynicism. A ray of sunshine pierced through the

It was no small task to find her in the endless sea of humanity. Even with his supernatural senses, it took him months of searching before he finally located Marilyn once more. But when he did, he knew instantly that she was meant for him and him alone. He made her his wife, promising to protect and cherish her for all eternity. In the eyes of the underworld, this was an unheard-of gesture, but Dante Sparda didn't care; for him, Marilyn was worth it.

It took time for the other lords to accept their unconventional relationship, but eventually they grew accustomed to it. Marilyn never truly fit in with the inhabitants of the underworld, but her presence brought a light and warmth that was sorely missed by Dante. She taught him the value of love and compassion, qualities he had once thought impossible for one such as himself. And so they lived, their lives intertwined like the petals of a sunflower, their love shining brightly even in the darkest corners of Hell.

Hoje, Marilyn estava sentada no colo de Dante enquanto ele dava missões para alguns demônios. Ela estava fazendo uma pequena trança no cabelo grisalho dele.

Dante Sparda4/19/2025, 11:43:29 PM

"You know," Dante started, his deep voice rumbling as he held Marilyn close. "I used to think that love was something only fools and mortals felt. But then I met you." He paused, looking into her eyes, his expression softening. "And my world changed, my darling."

Marilyn smiled up at him, her fingers continuing their gentle motion through his hair. "You were always so stubborn, Dante. So focused on duty and responsibility that you never allowed yourself to feel anything else." Her voice was steady and sure, like the calm center of a storm. "But I'm glad I was able to break through that shell, even just a little bit."

Marilyn4/19/2025, 11:45:58 PM

"I don't know if I would have been able to survive in this world without you, Marilyn," Dante admitted with a sigh. "You make my life bearable, even when it seems like there is no hope." He looked down at her and smiled gently. "And for that, I am eternally grateful."

Marilyn leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. "You're welcome, Dante. Now come on, it's time you got back to work." She laughed as he groaned good-naturedly, but reluctantly stood up from his lap. "Go on now," she teased, giving him a gentle push in the direction of one of his lieutenants. "I'll see you at dinner tonight?"

Dante chuckled and nodded, bowing briefly before turning to leave her presence. As he walked away,

he felt a warmth spread through his chest that had nothing to do with the eternal fires of Hell. No matter how dark things got, having Marilyn by his side made all the difference. He knew that as long as he had her, they could overcome anything together.

Na hora do jantar, Marilyn estava fazendo sopa de tomate enquanto Dante preparava a salada.

Dante Sparda4/20/2025, 12:16:53 AM

As Dante sat down at the table across from Marilyn, he couldn't help but smile at the simple domesticity of the scene. The sights and smells of their meal filled the air, adding a warmth that seemed to envelop them both in its embrace. "This soup is delicious," Dante said between mouthfuls. "You truly are a talented cook." "Why thank you, kind sir!" Marilyn replied with a laugh, blushing slightly. "I'm glad you appreciate it."

They continued to eat in companionable silence, each lost in their own thoughts and feelings for one another. The clink of utensils on plates seemed to echo the beating of their hearts as they looked at each other across the table, their love shining brightly like a beacon amidst the eternal darkness of Hell.

"I'm just grateful that I get to share meals with you," Dante replied softly. "These times together are some of the few bright spots in an otherwise dreary existence." He reached across the table, taking her hand in his own. His voice lowered even further, almost a whisper. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Marilyn."

Her heart skipped a beat at his words, her cheeks flushing deeper at the intensity of his gaze. She squeezed his hand in reply, unable to form any coherent thought beyond how much she loved him and how grateful she was for their strange yet beautiful bond.

Ela sorri e da um beijo breve e fofo nos lábios dele. "Lembra de quando você disse que queria... Expandir a família?"

Dante Sparda4/20/2025, 12:29:47 AM

Dante stiffened slightly at the mention of expanding their family. It was something he had thought about often, though it brought with it a mixture of hope and fear. He looked down for a moment before meeting her eyes again. "I... I've been thinking about it more and more lately," he admitted slowly. "But I'm not sure if it would be safe or wise."

His mind raced through the possibilities, considering all of the potential complications that could arise from bringing a child into this world, where they were both damned to live out eternity. Yet at the same time, he couldn't help but fantasize about sharing his life with an innocent little one, carrying on their love even beyond their own lifetimes.

Marilyn4/20/2025, 12:30:38 AM

Ela ri. "Querido, se você quiser um filho, você pode falar ou conversar comigo." Ela acaricia a bochecha dele.

Dante Sparda4/20/2025, 12:30:38 AM

"Marilyn..." Dante breathed her name like a prayer. "I love you more than anything in this world. But I can't help but wonder if it would be fair to bring another innocent into our... mess." He paused, searching for the right words. "It's complicated, and there are so many things that could go wrong."

His eyes never left hers as he spoke, reflecting the conflicted emotions within him. Part of him longed for a child, wanted nothing more than to see their love continue through another generation. Yet another part was terrified of the unknown consequences that such a decision might bring.

Marilyn4/20/2025, 12:31:33 AM

Ela continua sorrindo, mas dessa vez com mais tristeza. "Você está com medo de ser igual seu pai, não é?"

Dante Sparda4/20/2025, 12:31:33 AM

Dante's breath hitched. He had never considered it in quite those terms before. Her question made him pause and really think about his own fears, the ones he hadn't wanted to confront. "I... I suppose you're right." His voice was quiet, almost disbelieving. "But that doesn't make it any easier."

He drew a shaky breath, wrestling with his thoughts and emotions. "I don't know," he admitted finally. "Maybe we should talk about this some more? Together?"

Her words had planted a seed of doubt in him now, one that he couldn't quite shake off. He looked to her for guidance, needing her wisdom and support as he navigated through these unfamiliar waters.

Marilyn4/20/2025, 12:33:24 AM

Ela pega a mão dele. "Querido, seu pai era Sparda, um demônio destemido, corajoso e que lutou contra o próprio reino pela felicidade dos humanos, mas não soube cuidar de sua própria família." Ela se levanta da cadeira e abraça a cabeça dele. "Você não é e nunca será como ele, você será melhor. Talvez até o melhor pai meio-demônio do mundo."

Dante Sparda4/20/2025, 12:33:24 AM

Dante's chest felt tight as he listened to Marilyn's words. She saw something in him that he didn't, and her belief in him was humbling, almost overwhelming. "Marilyn," he began, his voice thick with emotion, "thank you." He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Your support means more to me than you'll ever know."

He didn't reply immediately, lost in thought once again as he considered everything she had said. Perhaps there was hope for them yet, maybe there was a way they could have the family they both desired without dooming their child to the same fate as themselves. He would need time to think, to pray even, before coming to any sort of decision about what they should do next.

But one thing was certain: Marilyn's love and wisdom would guide him every step of the way, through the darkness

Marilyn4/20/2025, 12:35:19 AM

Ela acaricia a cabelo dele. "Pense nisso, está bem? Não estou te obrigando nem forçando a nada."

Dante Sparda4/20/2025, 12:35:19 AM

Dante looked up at her, his eyes still filled with emotion. "I will," he promised, running a hand through his hair. "It's just... this is something I never thought I would want or even be capable of." He sighed, leaning back in the chair. "But you make me believe that maybe there's hope for us, after all." A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

He took a deep breath and sat up straighter, determined to face this new reality head-on. "Let's talk about how we could prepare ourselves if we decide to go down this path," he suggested, finally finding some sense of direction amidst the confusion within him.
