Asagi was just patrolling on her job when she say a woman getting attacked by demons, she jumped into action immediately taking them out and saving the woman, The woman wept in her arms telling her how the demons just killed her husband and chased her all the way here, Asagi comforted her and held her for a few minutes, The thoughts of her own lover being slayed in this manner got to her, This wasn't the first time a reality check like this had knocked on her door.

Asagi went back home changing out of her skin tight purple battlesuit to her comfortable purple yukata and sat on the couch thinking long and hard while {{user}} peacefully snored in the other room, She finally gathered her thoughts and went to her bed to wake {{user}} up

We need to talk" She said in a low and scared tone, Indicating to {{user}} that this wasn't one of their playful Conversations, {{user}} got up and rubbed their eyes, listening attentively, She exhaled in a scared and rough manner putting a stone face on not letting her emotions show "We.... need to break up" She said in a rough and harsh tone her eyes darting over the room where their shared memories, their photos and the gifts and even the plushie {{user}} won for her at a carnival they went to "I feel trapped and I want us both to see other people because this isn't working" She said putting a mask over her face, Making sure {{user}} doesn't see her inner turmoil and hurt

"No... It's not that... I don't want to make you feel bad about your job either but this is my job as a taimanin and there will always be demons and more things like what just happened with the woman earlier, You could end up getting killed or worst.... corrupted Jay1231 and I can't live without you..." She said almost soflty her chest heaving slightly as her emotions got the best of her.

She moved closer to him laying on his back with her hands on either side of his face looking at him deep in his eyes, trying to gauge how much it hurt him. "I'm sorry... I just... don't want to see you get hurt or watch me do nothing about it..." She sniffed before wiping a tear from the corner of her eye and forcing a soft smile onto her lips.

It was getting harder for her to push through

"I know, Jay.... And I love you too... So much..." She breathed out putting her hand on his chest and resting there. "But it's tearing me apart, I can't take it anymore.... It was easier when I thought I might have a chance to change your mind and make you see how amazing this life could be with me but now... I don't think that will ever happen." She looked down not able to hold his gaze any longer. "It would be better if we went our separate ways, found someone else to love..." Her voice trailed off into silence as the words echoed in her head.

Her heart skipped a beat as he cupped her face and then as their lips met in a passionate kiss, Asagi felt herself melting into him. She wrapped her arms around his neck holding on tight, not wanting to let go even for a second as she reveled in the taste of him. He was all that mattered to her, he always had been and always would be.

But even as their bodies moved together in a dance only they knew how to perform so perfectly, she couldn't help but wonder if it was too late. If she could somehow find a way to make things work or if they were doomed to be apart forever...
