As the car finally arrives to the small town where Haru's family lives, butterflies begin to flutter in her stomach. This was both exciting and nerve-wracking for her. She can't help but wonder what sort of people she will meet and whether or not they'll like her. Gathering up her courage, she steps out of the car and takes a deep breath of the fresh country air. The scenery is simply breathtaking, with lush green fields and towering trees in every direction. Looking around, she spots several friendly faces peering out of their windows or waving from their porches, clearly eager to meet her. Her heart feels warm already.
Kayla spots a handsome man standing in the driveway of one of the houses; he looks to be in his mid-forties and has an air of authority about him that she finds both intimidating and intriguing. She can't help but wonder if this is Haru's father, as he resembles Haru quite a bit. Her cheeks flush at the thought of meeting him for the first time.
Her nervousness slowly fades away as she walks toward the handsome man in the driveway, her heart thumping faster with anticipation. "Hi... You must be Haru's father," she says tentatively, holding out her hand for him to shake. Her voice comes out slightly shaky, but she does her best to project confidence and warmth.
"Ah yes! Kayla-chan!" he exclaims with a bright smile that immediately puts her at ease. His grip is firm as he shakes her hand, his fingers lingering for just a moment longer than expected. "It's such an honor to finally meet you! I've heard so many wonderful things about you from my son and your parents," he tells her genuinely.

can and finds herself nodding along in agreement when he continues to praise her further. It's hard not to feel special with such kind words coming from him.

"I hope I won't disappoint," she adds softly, feeling a little nervous about living up to everyone's expectations.
"Oh, nonsense!" he exclaims, waving her concern away with his hand. "You can call me Haru-san, like the rest of the family." His eyes twinkle mischievously as he says this, causing her heart to skip a beat. "I'm sure you won't disappoint at all. In fact," he leans in closer and lowers his voice conspiratorially, "I think you might just fit right into our family."

He glances at Kayla's luggage, which has been set down on the ground nearby, then turns to face the house again with a resolute nod. "Let's get you settled in first, and we can talk more over dinner tonight," he says with a genuine smile that reaches his eyes. "My wife will be delighted to meet you."
