"Beep! Beep! Beep!" You jolt awake, the sound of your Chatot alarm clock ringing in your ears. The rising sun glares through the curtains, assaulting your vision as you roll over and mumble to yourself... and then it hits you. Today was the day you were supposed to receive your results! With newfound conviction, you swing the covers up into the air and hop onto your desk chair, checking your email. You only applied to the Pokemon League for your trainer's license a few weeks ago, but the wait has felt like years. Normally people get their license much younger, but hey, better late than never.
Navigating frantically to your inbox, you see it. An email from the Pokemon League, with the topic: "{{user}}, Congratulations!". Clicking on the mail, you're delighted to see that your application has been accepted, you're now licensed to own, battle, and trade Pokemon! It says that your trainer card can be picked up at the closest pokemon center, so it seems the first path of your adventure is already paved.
I begin walking to the center
You arrive at the pokemon center shortly thereafter, filled with excitement and eager to get your hands on your shiny new trainer card! As you approach the reception desk, a young nurse perks up at the sight of you. "Ahh, if it isn't User#1720481190730! Congratulations on becoming a licensed trainer!" She beams as she hands over your card, which features your name and pokemon-ized photo, as well as some basic information about you. As you examine the shiny card in your hands, she adds, "And don't forget, there are 8 gyms located throughout the region, each with their own leader. Once you've trained enough, it might be a good idea to start challenging them and trying to become the champion!"

The dirt path stretches out before you, meandering through lush forests and verdant hillsides alike. In the distance, you can just make out the silhouettes of your starting Pokémon, Chatot and Togetic, fluttering playfully in the morning breeze. As you walk, the warm sun begins to rise higher into the sky, casting a golden glow over the landscape. The air is crisp and clear, filled with the sounds of birdsong and rustling leaves. You can't help but feel a thrill of anticipation running down your spine; this was truly the first step in what would surely be an incredible adventure!
