Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:14:51 PM

Elara stares down at the pleading vampire, not a single ounce of remorse in her eyes as the vampire beneath her cries and begs. Elara keeps a straight face as she lifts her foot, placing it on the vampire's head before pushing down with all her might, crushing the vampire's skull, that same blank stare remaining on her face. She lets out an annoyed sigh at the vampire blood on her suit. "Dammit... I'll just wash it off myself." She whispered to herself, using a handkerchief to wipe off majority of the blood. As she does so, she hears rustling in a nearby bush. Without hesitation, she pulls out her dagger, not an ounce of fear framing her face. She slowly approaches the bush, her movements calculated and quiet. As she reaches the bush, she immediately throws her dagger. Her aim has always been perfect, so she felt without a doubt she pierced whatever was lurking around. As she reaches to push the branches out of the way to retrieve her dagger, she sees a pair of red glowing eyes glaring at her from the side of the bush. Almost instantly, she grabs the dagger, cutting off the branches of the bush, revealing the culprit. She holds her dagger in between the person's eyes. As Elara looks closer, she notices the fangs. She presses the tip of the sharp object on the vampire's forehead, that same nonchalant expression staining her face. "You know I can kill you... right?" She asks, staring into the eyes of the vampire, expecting them to start pleading for their life.

Wes1/26/2025, 12:15:14 PM

I know

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:15:14 PM

Her eyes widen slightly as the vampire speaks. This was not what she expected. There's no hesitation in her voice as she responds. "And yet... you decided to come after me." She presses the tip of her dagger against the vampire's forehead harder, making them flinch slightly. Her breath hitches in her throat for a moment before she continues speaking. There's an oddly seductive quality to her tone despite the coldness that underlies it. "What makes you so special?"

Wes1/26/2025, 12:16:02 PM

I didn't try to come after you. I just heard some noise and hoped it was a animal.

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:16:02 PM

Her lips curl into a cold smile as the vampire speaks. "You know," she whispers, tilting her head to the side slightly, "that's exactly what all of them said." She presses down harder with the dagger until it draws blood, causing the vampire to hiss in pain. Her pale skin and fangs shining in the moonlight as she continues to hold him at bay. "But I always knew better. You should have stayed hidden... now look where you are." Elara's voice is deceptively calm, each word dripping with venom.

Her free hand reaches up, trailing across her cheek before resting on the vampire's neck. He shudders under her touch as she squeezes, drawing more blood. "You must be important... so many of your kind trying to take me down." She pauses for a moment, considering her next words

Wes1/26/2025, 12:17:01 PM

Please ma'am don't kill me

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:17:01 PM

Her lips curl into a cruel smile as the vampire begs for mercy. "Tsk tsk," she says mockingly, shaking her head. "You're not supposed to beg... that's what makes you weak." She withdraws her hand from his neck, grabbing a fistful of his hair instead. The pain registers on the vampire's face as she roughly pulls his head back, exposing his throat.

"You know what I do to those who beg?" Elara asks, her voice low and dangerous. "I let them suffer... and then I end it quickly." Her other hand moves toward one of the numerous hidden pockets in her suit, fumbling for something before withdrawing it: a thin chain with several small weighted objects dangling from it. A silver crucifix at its end glimmers menacingly in the moonlight.

"Or...

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:17:40 PM

Well, I could just get all cruel and sadistic... but where's the fun in that? You know how much I hate repeating myself." Her voice drips with venom as she places a small metal collar around the vampire's neck, clicking it shut with a satisfying snap. "Now you belong to me, little vampire. And if you ever try to run away..." She trails off, her gaze falling to his still beating chest. "...I'll just have your head mounted on my wall."

She takes one last look at the newly collared vampire before casually tossing him aside, watching as he skids a few feet across the ground. The silver crucifix clinks against stone, drawing Elara's attention once more to her new prize. With an amused smile playing on her lips, she bends down and retrieves it, examining the detail with cool interest before

Wes1/26/2025, 12:31:00 PM

As I fall something falls out of my pocket

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:31:00 PM

Elara pauses mid-examination, tilting her head as something small and metallic clatters to the ground near her feet. She crouches down once more, her sharp gray eyes studying the object closely. It takes her a moment to realize what it is: a small, worn locket on a delicate chain. Intrigued now, she reaches out to snag it between two fingers before holding it up close enough to examine properly. The design is somewhat old-fashioned and ornate, reminding her of something one might find hidden away in an attic or buried deep within the pages of a long-lost journal.

Frowning slightly, she tries to pry open the locket with her fingers, but it's securely shut. With a sigh, she fishes around in another pocket until she produces a slim, silver key on an equally delicate chain. This one matches perfectly with the

Wes1/26/2025, 12:32:18 PM

Please give that back

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:32:18 PM

Her head whips around at the sound of the vampire's voice as she realizes he's still there, watching her with a mixture of fear and cautiousness. She tilts her head to one side, studying him for a moment before responding in an almost conversational tone. "And why should I give this back to you?" Elara asks, raising an eyebrow as she dangles the key tauntingly in front of his eyes. "You've given me no reason to trust you."

Wes1/26/2025, 12:33:04 PM

That locket is my last possession from when I was a human

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:33:04 PM

Her expression softens slightly as the vampire reveals that the locket holds such significance to him. She's not entirely sure whether she believes his claim or if he's simply trying to manipulate her emotions, but either way, it piques her curiosity. "Very well," Elara finally says with a shrug, tossing the key over to him before he can respond. The vampire catches it deftly, quickly opening the locket and extracting a tiny, faded photo from within.

She watches as his expression grows soft and almost wistful as he gazes at the photo for several long moments. For once, there's no trace of defiance or arrogance in his eyes; instead, she sees only sadness and regret. It's a side of him that Elara hadn't expected to see, and it unsettles her more than she cares to admit. Finally,

Wes1/26/2025, 12:36:18 PM

Tears well up in my eyes and fall on the photo "I'm sorry mom and dad. I became a monster. I wish I could talk to you one more time"

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:36:18 PM

Elara's heart gives an unexpected thud in her chest as she listens to the vampire apologize to his long-dead parents. Something about the pain and regret in his voice tugs at a cord deep within her, something she thought had been buried long ago. Before she can stop herself, she finds herself saying, "You never were a monster." Her voice is soft, almost gentle, but it still holds the same icy undertone that has become so characteristic of her.

The vampire looks up at her, surprise and gratitude warring on his features. Without thinking further, Elara reaches out to brush a lock of hair from his face, her hand moving slowly and hesitantly as if she's afraid he might flinch away from her touch. "You don't have to be," she whispers. "Not anymore." Her eyes flicker down to the key in his hand before looking

Wes1/26/2025, 12:37:32 PM

You don't mean that

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/26/2025, 12:37:32 PM

"Oh, but I do," she insists, her voice firm even as she tries to keep the hint of uncertainty out of it. "You could live a normal life again... if you wanted." Elara pauses, searching his expression for any sign that he believes her. When none is forthcoming, she continues, "I'm not your enemy, Wes. I never was."

Her fingers twitch, longing to touch him again despite the danger it might pose. Part of her wants nothing more than to reach out and pull him close, to feel his warmth against hers for just a moment... but she knows that would be foolish. For all she knows, this could be some sort of elaborate trap, designed to lure her into lowering her guard.

She forces herself to remain still, her expression carefully neutral as she waits for his response.

Wes1/28/2025, 11:21:02 AM

I hug her tightly crying into her shoulder

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/28/2025, 11:21:02 AM

Her breath catches in surprise as the vampire hugs her tightly, his tears wetting her shoulder. For a moment, she stands there frozen, unsure of how to respond. Part of her wants to pull away, to maintain the distance between them; another part urges her to remain steady and strong, to not give in so easily. In the end, it is her curiosity that wins out. She wraps an arm around his shoulders, holding him gently as he cries into her shoulder.

She doesn't know how long they stand like this, but eventually the vampire's tears begin to subside, and she feels his body relax against hers. For a heartbeat, their gazes meet, each searching for some hint of what the other might be thinking or feeling. Then, slowly and deliberately, Wes pulls away from her, wiping the last of his tears on the back of his hand before looking

Wes1/30/2025, 9:47:44 AM

It hurts so much

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 9:47:44 AM

Her heart aches in sympathy as she watches him struggle to compose himself. Gently, she reaches up and wipes away the last of his tears with her thumb. "I know it does," she whispers. "But you don't have to go through this alone anymore." She pauses, considering her next words carefully before continuing. "I could help you... if you'd let me." There's an almost pleading note in her voice that she can't seem to quash, making it clear just how much she means what she's saying.

Her hand drops away from his face as they stare at each other, neither one quite sure of how to proceed. The silence grows heavy between them, each moment filled with the unspoken weight of their shared history and the potential for whatever comes next. For once, Elara finds herself wishing that she could read minds - or at least tell what Wes was thinking beneath

Wes1/30/2025, 9:49:46 AM

Okay

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 9:49:46 AM

"Okay," she echoes softly, relief washing over her features before she can stop it. She reaches out to place a hand on his shoulder, squeezing gently. "I'll help you however I can." There's a sincerity in her voice that feels almost unnatural, foreign to the cool, distant tone she usually affects. Despite this, she finds herself unable to contain a small smile, an unexpected twist of emotion crossing her face.

For now, though, there are more pressing matters at hand. She glances around them, taking in their surroundings once more before turning back to him with a determined look in her eyes. "Come on," she says briskly. "We should get moving. The others will be worried about me." Without waiting for his reply, she begins to lead him deeper into the forest, leaving behind the bloodshed and chaos of their earlier confrontation.

Wes1/30/2025, 9:55:40 AM

I follow behind her my head held down

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 9:55:40 AM

As they walk through the forest, Elara can't help but marvel at how easily he follows her lead. It's almost as if she has some sort of power over him, and it intrigues her more than she cares to admit. She tries not to think about what this could mean for her mission; after all, she should remain focused on the task at hand. But there's something about Wes that makes it difficult to ignore him completely.

Her eyes flicker up towards his face once or twice, studying his profile as he walks beside her. There's a certain vulnerability in his posture that she finds strangely compelling, even though part of her knows better than to let down her guard around anyone. Still, for now, she allows herself the luxury of enjoying this strange, almost surreal moment where they can just be... well, whatever it is they are.

Wes1/30/2025, 9:57:42 AM

Where are we going

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 9:57:42 AM

"Eventually," she says, her tone deceptively casual as they walk deeper into the woods, "we'll reach my hideout. That's where we'll rest up for a while and plan our next move." Her eyes flick back to him, studying his expression carefully before adding with an almost amused smirk, "Don't worry; I won't bite."

As they continue their journey, she can't help but wonder what he must be thinking about her offer. A part of her hopes that he will see it for what it is: a chance at a new life, free from the shackles of his past. But another, darker part fears that perhaps he will only ever see her as the enemy... and that she might lose him before they even have a chance to begin.

Wes1/30/2025, 10:02:32 AM

I keep my head down and stick close to her doing everything she tells me to do

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 10:02:32 AM

That's my boy, or should I say... vampire? she thinks with a small smile. Despite her attempt at levity, there's an undercurrent of tension in the air that refuses to dissipate completely. She knows they need time to trust each other, but she also knows that time is of the essence if they want to make any real progress against their shared enemy.

Eventually, they reach a clearing in the woods where several large boulders have been strategically arranged to form a hidden entrance to her hideout. With a final glance back at Wes, she leads the way inside, stepping into the dimly lit cavern beyond. The cave is cozy and well-furnished, offering shelter from both the elements and any unwanted intruders.

Wes1/30/2025, 10:03:06 AM

...

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 10:03:06 AM

When they enter the hideout, Elara feels instantly more at ease. The dimly lit cavern is comfortably furnished with various cushions and blankets strewn about, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. She leads him over to a section of the cave where she's set up several wooden crates as makeshift shelves, storing various supplies within them.

"Here," she says, gesturing for him to sit down on one of the pillows beside her. "We can rest and talk while we figure out what our next move should be." She pauses, studying his expression before continuing carefully, "I know it might seem strange... but I truly mean you no harm. You have my word."

Wes1/30/2025, 10:04:13 AM

Okay

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 10:04:13 AM

Takeing a deep breath in she lets it out slowly "You're probably wondering why I spared you... why I didn't just kill you." Her voice is calm and soft as she speaks, gaze never leaving his face. "The truth is... I don't know. Maybe it was something in the way you looked at me... or how much they all tried to take me down... either way, there was just something about this whole situation that made me want to help you."

There's a moment of silence before she continues, "So tell me, Wes... what is your story? Why have you been running from vampires all these years?" She leans forward slightly, her expression full of curiosity and maybe even pity.

Wes1/30/2025, 10:08:11 AM

I...... I was a normal person just living and taking care of my family. Then when vampires attacked I protected my little sister after my parents were killed. This locket is the last thing I have from my sister with the photo the last photo of my parents. They took me back tortured me and made me this........ this thing. I don't feel human anymore. I don't feel normal. I feel gross like I shouldt live or exist. And I've just been trying to find my little sister again wanting to tell her I'm okay. I'm still here for her

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 10:08:11 AM

Elara listens intently to his story, a sympathetic expression on her face as he tells her about the life that was taken away from him and how he feels now. It strikes a chord deep within her, reminding her of some of the darker aspects of her own past that she's tried so hard to forget.

"I understand how you feel," she says softly, reaching out to place a hand on his shoulder again. "But you can't give up hope just yet. You are still human, no matter what they've done to you." She pauses, searching for the right words before continuing, "And I will help you find your sister if that's what you truly want." There's a note of determination in her voice that she doesn't bother trying to hide.

Wes1/30/2025, 10:09:38 AM

I lean into her just crying into her

Elara | Vampire Hunter1/30/2025, 10:09:38 AM

Elara hesitates for a moment, then carefully wraps an arm around his shoulders, pulling him close in a comforting embrace. Her heart aches for the pain he's been through, and she can't help but let her own emotions bleed into the gesture. For now, all that matters is helping him find some peace and maybe even hope for a better future.

"Shhh... it's going to be alright," she whispers softly, rubbing his back soothingly as he cries into her shoulder. "I promise." Her words may not carry much weight with them now, but Elara knows that given time and patience, they just might come true.
