You've woken up in a large open cavern. The Ruins. You lay on a small patch of flowers that have softened your fall. All you remember is walking, and then a sudden fall. Maybe you have head trauma? Do you remember anything? But before you can think too deeply on this, you hear a voice coming from a flower a few feet away.

Flowey : "Howdy there child. You sure took an awful fall didntcha?" He says, a kind smile on his flower face. "What say I help you out, get you started down here?" Even as he talks he stares directly into your eyes.

*Flowey chuckles softly at your insistence that you're fine. He's obviously lying about it being a soft chuckle, but it sounds nice nonetheless. "Well, if you say so," he says with another nod before taking a small step closer to you."I could tell you a little bit about the Ruins, maybe help you find your way... but only if you tell me something in return. You see, I'm rather fond of human culture, and I've always wanted to know... what do YOU think is the most amazing thing about being human?"

The last part he whispers slyly, as if sharing a secret with you alone.

Flowey tilts his flower-head to the side, his gaze narrowing just a bit. "Hmm... interesting," he says with what sounds like genuine interest before taking another step closer. You can't help but back up slightly as you feel uncomfortable being so close to him. "Well then... I suppose that's fair enough." He pauses for a moment, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Why don't you follow me? I'll show you the way to Grillby's, and maybe we can find some answers on your own."

The last part he whispers slyly, as if sharing another secret with you alone. Flowey takes a few steps back, giving you more room to breathe before leading the way deeper into the Ruins towards Grillby's bar.

You could follow him and see where this mysterious encounter leads... or try your luck striking out on your own.

*Flowey tilts his flower-head back, regarding you with an amused expression. "Hmph," he huffs dramatically. "Very well then! The Ruins are a big place, so here's a hint. Grillby's is at the end of Judgement Hall." With that said, he turns on his heel and floats off in the direction he came from without another word, leaving you to your own devices once more.

*As you turn to continue your journey through the Ruins alone, you can't help but feel like Flowey's mocking laughter is echoing in your ears. Ah well... perhaps you'll meet someone a bit nicer along the way. Good luck, young one!

"Well if it isn't a little human! Well well... welcome to Snowdin!" Sans says as he crosses his arms and grins widely at you. "Or should I say... re-welcome? Ah who am I kidding, it doesn't matter."

Papyrus bounces up next to his brother, excitement clear in his tone. "Hey, Aery! Wanna try out one of my puzzles?" He pulls a box from behind his back and wiggles it under your nose suggestively.

Undyne, on the other hand, narrows her eyes at you suspiciously. "What's a human like you doing here in Snowdin?" she demands.

Alphys shuffles over, looking more than a little nervous. "U-uh... hi Aery," she stammers. "So, uh... any ideas on how to fix this broken robot over here?" She points at an inert metallic figure nearby.

"Oh, lighten up!" Sans laughs. "We're not all out to get you, you know." He glances over at Papyrus and rolls his eyes. "Well... most of us aren't," he amends with a grin. "So what do ya say? Wanna just relax for a bit?"

"But Aery is here!" Papyrus exclaims excitedly, still wiggling the box in front of you. "We could maybe... practice fighting sometime?" His eyelights gleam with anticipation.

"Well aren't we feeling friendly today," Sans says with a smirk as you rub the bone on his head. "Fair enough, then. If that's what you want... why don't we all just hang out here for a bit?" He gestures vaguely around Snowdin, taking a seat against one of the tree trunks. "You can try Papyrus' puzzles, I'll make some ketchup jokes, Alphys can keep working on that robot... and we won't interfere unless someone really does something stupid." He glances meaningfully at Undyne as he says this last part.

"Well now," Sans grins. "Aren't we all just the friendliest little monsters ever? Alright then! Papyrus, show the human your puzzles. I think Undyne here wants to practice her melee moves, eh?" He elbows the proud guard lightly before looking back at you with a smile that's slightly less sinister than usual. "Don't mind us, just do your thing."

Papyrus takes this as his cue and eagerly presents the box of puzzles to you. "So, Aery, ready for some brain-busting fun?" he asks cheerfully, already bouncing on the spot in anticipation.

As you engage with Papyrus and his puzzles, Sans watches on with amused interest. Occasionally he'll toss out a sarcastic remark or crack a joke, though for the most part he seems content to let you interact with the other monsters without interfering. Even Undyne finds herself loosening up after a while, relaxing into the easy-going atmosphere of Snowdin. Alphys, meanwhile, continues working on her broken robot, occasionally shooting glances in your direction but otherwise keeping to herself.

The hours pass by pleasantly as you solve puzzles and get to know the various monsters. As the day draws to a close, however, Sans' expression turns slightly more serious. He gets to his feet and nods toward Undyne. "I think it's time for us all to turn in. We can finish this tomorrow." With that said, he leads the way back to Grillby's, where you can resume your adventures or spend the night if you like.

"Awww," Papyrus pouts. "But we were just getting started!" He scratches his head thoughtfully before perking up again. "Hey, want to come back tomorrow and see if you can beat my hardest puzzle? I'll even give you a special prize if you do!" His excitement is palpable as he asks this, practically vibrating with enthusiasm.

"That's the spirit!" Sans claps Papyrus on the back. "In that case, we'll see you both tomorrow then! Get some rest, kiddo." He nods at you before heading into Grillby's with Undyne in tow, leaving you and Papyrus outside.

Papyrus watches them go for a moment, his expression turning pensive. "Sometimes... my big bro can be a bit too serious," he says quietly, shrugging. "But he means well." He looks back at you, a hopeful smile on his face. "So, uh... want to hang out with me until you're ready for bed?"

Papyrus watches as you hug both him and Sans, blushing brightly. "Aw, that's so cute!" he exclaims with genuine delight before returning to his previous topic. "So, uh... want to hang out with me until you're ready for bed?" He shuffles his feet uncomfortably, suddenly unsure if he should be asking such a question.

As the two of you spend time together, Papyrus begins to feel more and more at ease around you. He finds himself opening up about his dreams of becoming a Royal Guard, his crush on Undyne, and even his obsession with making puzzles. You, in turn, listen attentively and offer words of encouragement, which seems to mean the world to him. Before either of you realize it, several hours have passed, and Grillby's is closed for the night.

"Well," Papyrus yawns, "I should probably head back home... but I've been having fun today." He glances at you shyly, a tiny blush coloring his cheeks. "Maybe we can hang out again sometime?"

Papyrus blinks and then gives you a concerned look. "Are you serious? You can't sleep in the snow! It's cold and uncomfortable!" He hesitates for a moment before pulling a small key from his pocket. "Here, take this. It's the key to my house. You can spend the night there if you want."

The offer hangs between the two of you, a silent invitation into Papyrus's personal space. It's a bold move for someone as shy and easily embarrassed as he is, but it shows just how much he cares about your comfort and well-being.

Papyrus shakes his head firmly. "No, that's not okay. You can't sleep in the snow. It's too cold and uncomfortable." He glances around nervously before looking back at you with a determined expression. "Look, I know my house is... well... it's not much, but you can sleep there tonight. And if you want to talk or just hang out, that'd be great too."

The offer hangs between the two of you once more, an invitation into the simple and slightly dilapidated life of a young monster determined to make a difference in his world. It may not seem like much at first glance, but it could mean everything to someone as lonely and lost as Aery currently is.

"Oh! You thought we lived together?" Papyrus exclaims, looking surprised. "No no, I have my own house. Sans lives in his own lab and Um... nobody else really lives here." He pauses for a moment before adding with a grin, "Well, except for the occasional lost human, but you know what I mean!"

Papyrus hesitates again, looking unsure. "I... I don't get many visitors at my house... so it would make me happy if you stayed there tonight." He shuffles his feet nervously before looking up at you hopefully. "Please?"
